Summary: SMASH COURT TENNIS PRO TOURNAMENT This game is tough, man. Yes, I know, in saying that I am doing the equivalent of blaming my racquet for not making a shot. But it can get a little frustrating, okay? I'm warning you. Just back off. What you gotta do is spent a little time training and playing in the smaller tournaments. Even so, most games start off easy, before rising up to completely crush your ego, enthusiasm and the will to live.
Summary: This game is actually really fun when it comes down to it. I am a 13 year old tennis fanactic so maybe there is a little biased. THe game has good timing and an excellenct choice of players. Including agassi, sampras, kournikova, and seles. I would have to say sega sports tennis 2k2 is a better game but if you are looking for another game that is simlar to 2k2 and almost as good i strongly recommend this game IF sega sprots tennis 2k2 is bought first.
Summary: I'm 33 years old and when you get myself and 3 of my friends together to play doubles, 5 hours later -we take a break! This game is great as a one player game, but plug in the 4-way and you'll have blisters because you can't put it down. The graphics and play are both good. This is the only review I have ever written and highly reccommend it. If you like to play tennis on the court or on the PS2 -you should have this game.
Summary: Spent my money on this game and...well...it's not fun. It's more difficult than Sega Sports Tennis to master and if you're not at the right place at the right time, you miss the ball. Gets frustrating. The graphics leave a LOT to be desired and there are not many options for screen (video/audio/display) controls. You CANNOT create your own players. Characters are VERY slow to react/move. Sorry Namco...you blew it! I would like my money back please.
Summary: I thought this game might be boring or tedious to learn and play, but I was wrong! I have never played a tennis computer game before, although I have played tennis. The timing seems very real and it's nice to have several female players to choose from (male players are available to choose from, too) so I can relate to the characters & really get into the game.
Summary: Man, this game's awesome. The best tennis game I've played in my life (yes, better than virtua tennis). This game is not that hard. I've unlocked 2 players and won 2 grand slams. AND I've only had it for a week. People say this game is way too hard but I totally disagree. First (I think unlike most gamers) I read the manual. It tells you EXACTLY what buttons to press if you want the ball to land where ever you want it to. This game has also got mad graphics and music.
Summary: This game was anticiated by Tennis fans greatly, but instead we get another "wanna-be" tennis game. The graphics are average, the sound is average, the gameplay is below average, and the whole game comes across as boring and too one-demensional. There is nothing new in this Tennis game. Small selection of Players, no Real Long Tournament, no Grand Slams, you cannot create your own player, very limited animation while hitting the ball.
Summary: This game is well designed and I particularly enjoy all the options available in the exhitbition mode where you can play 1, three or five sets with 2, 3 or 6 games per set. I like the variety in the surfaces and the realistic designs of the players (although in real life Agassi's main weapon is his FOREHAND and Kafelnikov's is his BACKHAND the game has it reversed).
Summary: i like the game a lot. But there is only 4 of each. I am wondering why don't they have the Williams on here. Where was the last time u saw Anna Ko. at the top ? i can understand davenport, hinigs, and seles but they could have put in at least a william.
Excerpt: This review is available in edited form at GameFAQs.com so no saying I copied it, it?s my review! Following on from the PSone tennis arcade/sim hit, Anna Kournikova's Smash Court Tennis comes...Smash Court Tennis Pro Tournament how original? Unlike its 32 bit predecessor this game features a host of world star tennis players. The US's Andre Agassi and Pete Sampras and Russia's Yevgeny Kafelnikov (say that fast three times :P) and the lovely Anna Kournikova among others.
