Excerpt: "...skies, all the piloting in Sky Odyssey takes the form of a big adventure. Just to really ram this point home, the main mode is called adventure, a fine indication of intent, you'll agree. The story centres around four desolate islands, the mysteries of which you must uncover via the gift of flight. Lost artefacts lie on each island. Coo. Pros: Very unique among flight sims, Will keep you playing for a while
Excerpt: "your a pilot looking for an adventure and how about fulfill this by fling to an island which is nearly inposable because of the weather, low feul and small creeks. overall this game is OK, it's fun for the first few hour then after that you relise how slow the planes are, but hang in there it gets better. so if you can get it for under £20 then buy buy buy it. there are fun things like design pattern on your plane, get up grades during adventure ...
Summary: Ha, I bought this after reading all the reviews and having this vision of myself piloting a plane through exotic lands. Well, if I got good at this game, I might be able to do all that. Getting through mission 1 has already driven me batty. Took me awhile to figure out that I need to use a slower plane, and that helped. It is a cool game, I have no doubt about that.
The most fun you'll ever have without blowing something up!

Summary: Any fan of aircraft should like this game. It has a good mix of flight simulator characteristics and arcade action. Sky Odyssey is by no means perfect, but it's pretty darn fun and the anticipation of unlocking new aircraft as you play is intoxicating. The customization features available for your airplanes (customizable color schemes, custom insignia, etc.) are pretty cool. Being able to control your aircraft from engine start up to engine shut down is nice.
