Excerpt: There are quite a few singstar games out now, this one is one of my favourites. So the basis behind this is you pick a song from the following list and sing a long to it. This tends to be easier if you already know the song as you tend to have to sing it the same way as the artist does.
Summary: Me & the missus have only recently invested in the Singstar franchise for the PS3. Given that she had chosen the Abba, Take That and Pop discs, I needed something that I stood half a chance at. Fortunately, this Rocks disc does just that. It's a good mix of new and slightly-less-new rock anthems (not too many oldies) and it has a very similar interface to the PS3 versions, the main difference for me being that you can't select songs by speaking into the mic.
Classic game but this time with something for the lads to engage with

Excerpt: This is singstar. You know what you are going to get. The reputation of the product says it all. This is a game to be enjoyed by you and your mates. In my case after quite a bit to drink on a Saturday night when you have boys and girls together after the pub, and everyone fancies themselves as the next X factor winner. I like this version, as it includes hits from Bloc Party, Blur, Coldplay, Kasabian, Queens of Stone Age, The Killers, The Hives and Nirvana.
Excerpt: This was the first game for my Playstation and I got it as a gift. At first I was a bit confused because I could not see myself playing this game with other people and on the other side playing it for myself would not be fun. But one evening a little bit of "fire watter" changed my courage. Me and a bounch of friends started singing, and you would not believe it, we all sucked but it was the greatest fun ever. We just kept on singing and singing.
Summary: Firstly, this is agreat game to bring people together, crack open a few tinnies or bottles and have a great laugh. It doesn't matter if you can sing or not - just have fun. Secondly, for those that bemoan about the track listing, there are some things to remember here. 1. This isn't MOR Rock or Legends Rock or Old School Rock or Heavy Rock or even Metal Rock, it's simply Rocks! and that covers a wide, wide market.
Summary: This "game" has not done a lot for my neighbourly relations but it's worth it! I bought it on impulse a few months ago and am really glad I did. It has a brilliant and varied choice of songs, old and new with a few duffies but the good and the great (Stones, Nirvana, Queen, the Cardigans, Stereophonics, Snow Patrol etc etc ) more than make up for it. Get your friends and family round, open a few cans and let rip!
Excerpt: This game is very funny! You choose a music video from a wide selection, and make sure your microphone is plugged in. Sing along with the lyrics on screen. You will be helped to make sure you get as many points as possible on screen! The better the singing, the more points you recieve. You will get help through the game saying how you are doing. The good thing about this game is that it is multi player, or you can challenge your friends, and see who sings the best.
Easy to use, selection of old and new songs, well worth buying as a party game.

Excerpt: I bought this game about 3 months after it had came out from amazon.co.uk. When i first got it, i was very impressed with the selection given to me, all that you would expect from a "rock" version, both a selection of old and new. I was, however, a little disappointed by the amount of songs you had to choose from. After a while, the selection can get a little boring.
Excerpt: I got this game earlier in the year, not long after it came out but have only been able to play it with other people on about 2 occasions. In May we had a party after going out for my fiancé's birthday and his Mum and 2 mates stayed over. The lads had a fair bit to drink which is probably why they agreed to play, but my fiancé had always had a bit of an aversion to the Singstar games (hence why I usually play them on my own - poor me!
