Excerpt: If there was a game released in 2004 that showed innovation, Singstar was it. The first UK-released karaoke-’em-up was well designed, well implemented and since it came with everything you needed to play a bit of multiplayer (barring a PS2 and a TV, of course) – it represented great value for money.
Excerpt: Good for a post-pub gaming session as well being a family-oriented venture, Sony London's Singstar proved popular with the masses as an innovative karaoke sim that judged and scored its players based on their pitch, rhythm and tone. At the time it was unique to the UK, but just several months later it's to be joined by the aptly named sequel, Singstar Party.
Conclusion: Karaoke comes to the console world with Sony\'s addictive party game. Choose from 30 tracks, with everything from Blondie to Rihanna to Shannon Noll on offer, then sing along as best you can. Great fun in a party setting, whether or not you know the words.
Pros: Some great tracks, Joins up with the Eye-toy perfectly
Cons: I can’t sing, A poor solo game, No fun if you don\'t like the track list
Excerpt: Studio London have now created two franchises for the Playstation 2 which have been phenomenally successful. The first was the Eyetoy franchise which, in the span of a year and a half has spawned about ten games, the second is the Singstar franchise. This is only the second Singstar game released, but we foresee many more coming in the future.
Summary: As a party game this is tremendous fun. The track listing on Singstar Party should have been much better, but at least you can import from the original. Still, this is an essential purchase for Karaoke fans.
Conclusion: Tydliga och stilrena menyer.
