Before guitar hero there was singstar
26 April 2014
Excerpt: This is going to sound sad but I would rather have a girlie night in watching dvds or playing video games then going out. This is one of the games we quite often stick on **Whats the game about** Singstar is a game you can play by yourself or against family and friends to see is the best singer.. There are quite a lot of these games about all with different themes for songs and this one is called legends and contains 30 tracks.
Pros: loads of fun
Cons: can get repetitive , songs not too everyones taste
Excerpt: I've always loved singing. I am not a singer, but I sing. Constantly. For me its therapeutic, for those around me, they need therapy. But do I care? Not in the slightest! I foolishly threw out all of my Singstar disks a few years ago after my microphones broke, but then I recently decided to re-buy mics for my Playstation 2. With that I decided to buy some different singstar games to try my voice at. This was when I was faced with Singstar: Legends.
Do you have what it takes to be a Singstar Legend?

Excerpt: Singstar legends is one of the amazing singstar collection which I am a massive fan of! The concept of the game is to sing with two microphones which work by being plugged in to a special box with a USB port which works with the PS2. You sing along to the tracks and have to try and match the pitch and tone of the original song. There are many discs in the collection and I own quite a few (which I intend on reviewing individually).
Excerpt: SingStar is a competitive kareoke game for PS2 and PS3 that lets you sing to your favourite songs along with their actual videos. The game analyses the pitch of your voice and compares it to the original track. It is an excellent game, and a great party starter. With Singstar Legends, it features some great hits from the all the years such as: 'Respect,' Life on Mars,' Son of a preacher man, Rocket man, Blue suede shoes, Unchained Melody, Wonderful world, Papa dont...
Pros: More suited for older people, has more and older tracks .
Excerpt: Great game - bound to get the whole family up and singing! With old favourites such as 'Papa Don't Preach', 'Respect', 'Life on Mars?', 'Rocket Man', 'Imagine' and 'Sweet Home Alabama' who wouldn't love it? However if you're a big fan of modern music or if you're a younger buyer you may be put off, but even though I prefer more modern music, I still thoroughly enjoyed this game. The graphics are good and the sound is crystal clear.
Excerpt: I had this singstar last Christmas, it was the 4th one that I have had. I think that it is brillant, even though i was only 15 when I had it and most, if not all of the songs were made before I was born, I think it is my 2nd favourite after Singstar ROCK. I would not recommend it to the younger people unless they are like me and listen to an older generation of music.
Excerpt: Singstar Legends: i got this game with my ps2 for my birthday aswell as cars i have only used it abou 6 times so far i only really use it when i have family or friends around . the songs are by people like Tina Turner Sam cook nirvna elton jhon ect. on this game you can listen to yourself sing once you have finished a song or battle it out to see who is the best singer out of you and some friends.
Excerpt: I first came across Singstar about 2 years ago at a friends house. It was good fun and i thoroughly enjoyed it. I mentioned it to my parents went i got home but nothing come of it. Zooming forwards to Christmas 2006, our family decided to get a game, for all of us. We eventually decided on getting a singstar game, after a hint from me, and we ended up getting the legends version as it had recently come out, and we thought it would be ideal for all the family and all...
Excerpt: This is the 3rd Singstar game I have bought and got it just a little before Christmas. Being the nice fiancée that I am, I got my other half Pro-Evo 6 and Buzz Sports as well. (I had to get him a Buzz game he had a chance of beating me on!) Anyhoo Singstar Legends works in the same format as the other Singstar games so I won't repeat all the details from previous reviews.
Excerpt: The singstar series has proved a huge success, with 7 discs and over 200 tracks to choose from. The latest offering, possibly the last on PS2, is Singstar Legends. As with all the previous versions, the basic aims remains the same, sing to accumulate points. Don't worry, even if you are not a god singer, the ability to change difficulty means any performer can be top of the charts!
