SingStar Legends (PS2) - Review

VGChartz
9 January 2009
  • Excerpt: There is a good possibility that many of you already know all about the SingStar franchise. Even if you have never played one of the games, you can take an educated guess based on the title that this series of video games encourages you to sing like a star.

  • Conclusion: This is the SingStar game I’ve been waiting for. I’d probably buy any one of these tracks individually in the SingStore. Sony really put together a fun collection here! Make sure to pick up a copy through our Amazon link so you too can enjoy SingStar Legends!!

Expert Review

PSX Extreme
30 October 2008
  • Excerpt: Despite hitting it big on the PlayStation 3 already, the SingStar franchise will continue to live on the PS2 for quite sometime. In fact, there's no doubt in my mind that there are still a number of SingStar games to look forward to following the release of SingStar Legends and Country. Of course this should come as no surprise, as the rhythm genre is one of the fastest growing genres in videogaming today, largely thanks to games like Guitar Hero and Singstar.

SingStar Legends

Project COE
28 October 2008
  • Conclusion: Even though the PlayStation 2 now caters solely to the casual market, SingStar Legends is one of those games we can easily recommend to any music lover. Sure the SingStar series is better on PS3, but for those with only a PS2, this disc is something you’ve been dreaming of for a while.

  • Conclusion: While they're certainly not bad games by any means, familiarity breeds contempt, and I'm juuuuust starting to get irked by the lack of freshness.

SingStar Legends

The Gamers Temple
22 February 2008
  • Excerpt: The SingStar series of games continues to thrive on the PS2, one of the latest of which is SingStar Legends. Each release of the game has left the gameplay itself untouched, essentially using each new release as a substitute for the lack of support for downloadable content on the PS2. This is not really a bad thing, because the core gameplay certainly does what it does well enough - provide a fun way for friends at a party to enjoy a little video karaoke.

SingStar Legends

Playstation Illustrated
29 December 2007
  • Excerpt: Ever notice how some things seem better in theory than in reality, or they simply look better on paper than in real life? Well, that's my best analogy for SingStar Legends . Maybe the dev team thought, "the people want more classic tunes" or maybe they thought that by placing some of these legendary songs available as play options, they could draw an older crowd in. Whatever the case may be, I am just not sure why some of these songs made it onto SingStar Legends .
