  • Summary: WEll, I know this games hasn't gotten killer reviews, but I want to do it a little justice. I think it is a nice game to just throw in the ps2 for a spin. Takes little effort, controls are quick to learn and when isn't it fun to cap a guy in the head and get major kudos for it? One HUGE knock on this game is apparently it's too easy.

Gun missing, but fun nonetheless...

  • Summary: I received Silent Scope for Christmas. I'm a huge fan of the arcade game and its sequel, so I was a little apprehensive about playing it without the sniper rifle. I keep reading all of these complaints about having no gun, but get over it already...you knew when you bought the game that there would be no gun, so it couldn't have been THAT big a surprise.

  • Excerpt: Silent Scope, developed by Konami does exactly what it says on the box…… It’s a game all about the phenomenon of ‘sniping’ by using the so called ‘Sniper Rifle’, which has now appeared an my other games mostly in First Person Shooters (FPS). So called Sniping is so popular, most probable because it takes a little more skill to delecly aim at a person or object an to kill it with one shot or bullet.

  • Excerpt: Silent Scope is a shooting game with a twist, you use a sniper rifle instead of a normal pistol or machine gun. You play an expert sniper who has to help the police on an extremely inportant mission. The president and his family have been aptured by terrorists and you have to help save them. The levels vary from sky scrapers, hotels, helicopter levels, car chases and levels at night where your scope turns into a night vision scope (very cool)!!!!!!

  • Summary: It's a fun game, but as everyone else seems to have mentioned, don't expect the gameplay to last years. A good arcade conversion (if you get bored with the joypad, you can also use a USB mouse)

  • Excerpt: After I purchased a ps2 I thought that silent scope was a must have game as it looked really fun and is the sort of game I like. Here’s what I think of it now The Story When a political conference is called in Chicago, the president and his family have to go up, but they don’t get to Chicago because on their way they are kidnapped by a group of armed terrorists.

  • Excerpt: Silent Scope is essentially a very simple game - rescue the President and his family by killing a few bad guys. But it's been spiced up to PS2 standards to make it one of the most gorgeous games to look at. Silent Scope was originally a coin-op with a ruddy great plastic sniper rifle attachment. Unfortunately, the PS2 version is minus the gun but it's essentially the same. The trouble is, like with a lot of coin-ops, it's a little shallow.
