Summary: Silent Scope cannot be played using a control pad. The "scope" moves so slowly, and it is rather frustrating to look for enemies while being shot sixty million times because it takes twelve years to move the gun scope around to find targets. A good PS2 zapper, if included, would make this game 4 or even 5 stars. The graphics are crisp and clear, the sound is good, but none of that matters when your game is over in ten seconds because you can't look around fast enough.
THIS GAME IS ONE OF THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Summary: I have played this a billion times in an arcade and I thought it would be terrable on ps2, but it is in a word AWESOME. ---------------------------------------------------------------- In this game you play a role as a anti-terrorist sniper and the missions are just perfect, it also gives you a realistic effect for example: If you shoot somebody either in the legs or head and they are on top of a building they will fall off!
Summary: Its an all right game. I bought it because I thought I played it in the arcade. It was really fun in the arcade, but it happened to be a way different game. I can't get passed the last level, it is VERY hard. I always run out of time. But, I am not the best. For skilled gamers only. THAT MEANS NOT ME! hehe.
Summary: I'm sorry, but I still comprehend the fact that this shooting game is missing a gun. I know this is a slow sniper game, but still... Imagine playing Area 51, and all the great Sega Arcade shooting games without that big freaking gun. Besides, that, this game's great... I've tried shooting pedestrians, but was banned from doing so. Damn.
Summary: Following my own advice I rented this game first before buying it. The game being a 5-day rental, I only kept it for a day. After 20 minutes the game becomes very, very, boring. I know this has been said many times before, but this game should have been left in the arcade.
Summary: i love the game to the extreme, even without the gun...but id give anything to find the silent scope arcade machine...the ps2 version is grand for at home and comfy shooting, but for me the thrill of the gun just heightens the experience...although unlikely to come out for the ps2 in origional format, seems how it probably would cost just as much as the console its self with parts and processor...
Summary: EVERYONE IS COMPLAINING BUT THIS GAME IS GREAT. EVEN WITHOUT A GUN IT IS STILL ONE OF THE BEST SHOOTER GAMES I'VE EVER PLAYED. THE GRAPHICS ARE GREAT.ANYONE WHO LOVES TO SNIPE IN VIDEOGAMES THIS ONE IS FOR YOU!
Summary: This game .... When I buy a game I want to be able to play it over and over. But with this game if you play it once you know all there is about it. The snipers are always in the same spot, doing the same thing for the same amount of time. If you like arcade games like this rent don't buy this game it's a waste of [money].
Summary: The graphics are definitely awesome and the strategic choices abound, but the more I play this game, the more I wish I had a gun-type controller in my hands. Also, in a possible departure from the arcade game, the story mode could use more long-term progression using memory cards. Still, it's a good break from playing SSX and NHL 2001 all day.
Summary: This was one game that I remotely enjoyed in the arcade, but unfortunately what made the game worth its while was the gun. The gun was the whole attraction of the game, which was otherwise just a dull shoot-em-up. But my question is why? Why repackage a game that was clearly marked for the Arcades with the extra guns and what-not.
