Summary: Very happy with my purchase. I bought the game because I've been looking for it for a while in game stores, and when I can find it, it is over-priced. I really love the whole Silent Hill collection, but my previous copy of SH4 was stolen, so I've been looking to get it replaced for some time now. As far as I can see there isn't much to complain about. Disk's in working order and it runs great on my PS2. If I had to do it again, I'd definitely buy the game over again.
Survival horror, quite fun, a bit of fear, good controls.

Summary: Being part of the survival horror genre, this (and it's early versions) is a great example of a survival horror game, even though it's a older game, I would suggest trying it out, aside from the somewhat soft voice acting, the game mechanics/control and difficulty are all spot on, it's not to expensive, so if you have free time, go ahead and give this game try!
Summary: This game is really well done. I purchased this game for the xbox360 and yes, it does play on it. There are some minor problems when playing it on the xbox360 but that doesn't matter when you're playing a great game.
You hated on this game and now we are in sh2 spin off hell.

Summary: OK so This game gets a lot of mixed reviews. I'm from the camp that loves it. I admire the fact that it did something new. If every game was a rip off of SH2 it would get stale. Now here we are in 2012 and every SH game is like a sad rip off of sh2. Congratulations. I know this wasn't started as a silent hill game but it became one awesome one. Not perfect, but very unique. I guess I'll be waiting a long time for a SH game this innovative again.
You're locked inside your apartment. Is this awesome? Y/N

Summary: Silent Hill 4 is different from the first three in the series in that it doesn't take place in Silent Hill. You play as a guy named Henry who's lock in his room by some mystical force and your goal is, obviously, to escape. Being a Silent Hill game, this is much easier said than done. You venture into new areas from holes in your apartment and meet other characters while also spying on your pretty neighbor for half the game.
Summary: Silent Hill 4 The Room is the fourth game in Konami's survival horror series. The game focuses on Henry Townshend who lives in Room 302 of the South Ashfield Heights Apartments and after having nightmares for a couple of days he's trapped in his apartment. The PC version is good, graphics are good, gameplay is good and the controls are okay. The problems with this version is that game can run slow even if your computer meets the minimum requirements. This is a good PC game and...
Summary: This game wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, but it wasn't nearly as good as the first three. There were a few things about this game that were horrifically terrible, including corny and dumb sound effects. Overall it was still fun and still had some things that were dark and creepy.
Summary: Like all the other reviewers I am a long time fan of the series. Silent hill 1 kept me up for several nights. 2 just disturbed the heck out of me psychologically. 3 had the best emotional tone because of the loss of Heathers father and Heather's overall character development. 4...Let's just say I had to warm up to 4. The concept intrigued me, but I was unsure if I'd like it. I started the first hour of the game but just couldn't get into the change.
Summary: The first thing that any one should know about this game is that it wasn't supposed to be a Silent Hill game. Originally, the game was supposed to be called "Room 304" but Konami hijacked it in the way of Square Enix at the last second in order to make some more money using the franchise's name. Don't worry though, the game is mostly Silent Hill, with powerful, dark storytelling and Akira Yamaoka's amazing compositions.
