Summary: First I played Silent Hill 2, and it was one of the best gaming experiences I'd ever had -- so I rushed out and bought Silent Hill 3. Now that I've finished it, my final verdict is: Very good, but somewhat lacking. The third installment in Konami's groundbreaking survival horror series has better graphics, more monsters, a more coherent storyline, a better combat system, and more interesting environments -- and yet, it doesn't quite live up to the overall experience.
Summary: Silent Hill 3 was the game that go me addicted. I loved this game so much i went out and bought a PS2 of my own! ( i was playing a friends at the time) I may not have played SH 1 and 2 however i believe i know something thats good when i see it. Graphics: AWSOME! The monsters were scary and unique, i loved that fat man and the dogs! Each monster has its own personality.I dont know how anyone could say that the graphics were lacking in this game.
Summary: I will say this: Silent Hill 3 is as good as a Silent Hill game can be. I say that because in my opinion, the series reached it's peak years ago with Silent Hill 2. That is a hard act to follow. Now all of the upcoming Silent Hill games are great, but they don't bring anything new to the table like Silent Hill 2 did. On that note, let me share the positives of this game. The graphics are great.
Summary: Ok. I just wanna start by saying I am a die hard resident evil fan and have played and beat every resident evil game ever made. But since palying this game I've decided to start a new series.Thats one half the reason I decided to check this game out.the other is cause I saw the commercial for it and it looked cool.So I went to the rental store and rented it.The only thing that had me worried was that I hadn't played the first or second silent hill, and was starting on the...
An excellent game but a flawed development in the series.

Summary: First of all Silent Hill 3 boasts probably the best SOUND and GRAPHICS for any PS2 game. Those of you that have surround sound will be shaken to the core of your soul in this survival horror amusement. The cut scenes are hyper-realistic and the Silent Hill 3 maps and worlds are well above standard for a game of its type. I am now on my third round playing this game and so I have enough experience with it to be able to conduct a realistic review.
Summary: Three words, twisted, sick, and religous. This game has some freaky view on a god(or should I say devil) named Samael, any Silent Hill fan will remember this freakish bastard as the final boss in the first title. Maybe it's the fact that when my brother plays it he is cowering in the corner with a white face that makes these three titles so precious to me, or maybe it's that I'm a freak that needs to be locked up in a mattress room with a straight jacket... nah!
Summary: While Silent Hill 2 was a ghost story that had a creepy feeling, Silent Hill 3 is a horror story that is designed to scare with Blair Witch type undertones and some fantastic set pieces to boot, however the story is certainly very different and in this reviewers opinion - not quite as good as Silent Hill 2 but it is a lot more frightening.
Summary: As someone who's actually played all three games, I can say that this one, thankfully, is MUCH better than the second. The first introduced everything perfectly, and still remains the best, but the second, by far, was the worst. Like the second, the characters in this installment, unfortunately, have very little purpose other than to say a few clichŽd lines that further the plot.
