List All 2 PricesSeems mundane, but this weather display will be your best friend. Were it not for three elements -- a tedious opening, a dim ending and an overly passive "hero" -- I'd be tempted to call Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 4 a nearly perfect Japanese role-playing game. Or, perhaps I should say that it would be a nearly perfect RPG, outside of Japan. With three strikes against it, is Persona 4 for anyone who isn't an Atlus games otaku? We travel to the rural floodplain village of... Read more
Overall, Persona 4 feels very similar to its predecessor, but changes so many things that you can't at all say that it's Persona 3 with a new skin. The difficulty has been ramped up considerably what with all of the new game mechanics, but it offers the same solid RPG experience that we're starting to lose sight of in the days of current-gen graphics and flashy, convoluted sob stories of RPG narratives. Persona 4 is just further proof that Atlus knows what they're doing... Read more
Impatience. That’s why traditional turn-based JRPGs are dying. People, and by that I mean most “gamers”, don’t seem to have any time anymore. They want everything now , to experience every last emotional high and low in a ten-minute hand job with the controller . If twenty seconds goes by without something exploding, someone or something being slashed/punched/shotgunned/teabagged, or some part of the screen spinning into a kaleidoscopic vortex of Technicolor... Concept: Take Persona 3, tweak some mechanics, add a chilling new story, and you've got another sequel Graphics: Stylish visuals can't completely mask the fact that you're playing on outdated hardware Sound: Despite a lot of repetition, the musical score is evocative. The voice acting is also exceptional for most characters Playability: The mechanics are improved over the last entry, but the rigid structure and timeline still feel restrictive Entertainment: You'll need a... After the incredible experience that was Persona 3 , I was more than a little surprised to see that Atlus was following up with a sequel so soon. Although I have nothing but the highest respect for the series, I have to admit that the critic in me was a little dubious that something of an equal or greater quality would be coming my way—after all, the gap of time between 2 and 3 was in the neighborhood of six years. Could a similar quantum leap have been made again in... Read more

I played a lot of games in my videogamer career. GTAs,ZELDAs,RESIDENT EVILs,FALLOUTs,BALDURs GATES,BULLY,and lots of ShOOTERS too...I have to recommend this game to everyone because, you understand, is really better, not for graphics or sound or something in particular, but for the interest of the player that keeps growing during the entire "hundred hours" narration...IF you don't hate RPG, go buying this one, you won't regret Read more
Possible spoiler alert!! With Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 4, Atlus continues their tradition of dark and lengthy JRPGs. This means as a JRPG this is of those you are either going to love unconditionally or absolutely abhor. Persona 4 takes place about a year after the events of Persona 3. You start out Persona 4 as an unnamed high school junior sent to live with your uncle while your parents are out of the country for a year. Instead of living in a major city like... Read more
