The game Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3 is the 3rd installment of the video game Persona console RPG series. It was developed and published for Sony Playstation 2 by Atlus Co. It was released in Japan in July 2006, then August 2007 in North America and February 2008 in Europe and Australia. In North America, the game was released with a 52-page Color Art book, outer collector’s box and a soundtrack CD that features 18 songs.
Features
Persona 3’s story moves from a day-to-day basis over the course of one year that gives it an edge from typical console role-playing games (RPG). It has the turn-based affair that allows the protagonist and its comrades to exploit the weaknesses of their enemies and be awarded for it. The only controllable element in the game is the protagonist and the enemies are controlled by AI which gives players more challenges. The game allows a Social Link system that helps build good relationships with friends and love interests. With its amazing 2D character portraits and astounding 3D graphics it gives players the excitement of a lifetime.

The PlayStation 2 has been host to plenty of quality RPG titles and Persona 3 is one of its finest. The game isn't just about dungeon crawling and there's plenty to do in the game without even engaging in combat. Importantly though, everything you do outside of battle has a bearing on how you'll perform in battle because of the Social Link system and how it affects your personas. You play a character whose name you'll pick right off the bat. You've just transferred to a new high school and due to some last minute confusion, it seems you'll be staying in the girls dorm.
