Excerpt: On June 28, 1914, Archduke Franz Ferdinand, heir to the Austrian throne, was assassinated by Slavic anarchists, beginning the First World War. As the war begins, the Imperial German Army sends one of its officers, Karin Koenig, to the French village Domremy, where a monster is rumored to live. Indeed, a monster does dwell here, slaughtering Karin's patrol, although she survives and sees it revert to human form.
Summary: This game had me enthralled from the very beginning. I had been a fan of the series since I stumbled on the first title by accident, and this game did not disappoint me at all. The story line flowed perfectly from the first game to 'Covenant', allowing for a fluid transfer between the two. The reappearance of some of the original characters is balanced by new skills and new characters.
Pros: Engaging story, Epic boss fights, Addictive gameplay, Innovative concepts, Just plain fun
Summary: Finally, an original, innovative RPG. Shadow Hearts Covenant draws you in quickly, and carries you through a vast world that gets more complex and intriguing. SHC has plenty of side quests but they aren't mandatory to beat the game like so many RPGs, you don't have to 'level up' either which for me, was a huge plus. The battle system is unique but i believe adds to the game. Graphics are fantastic. Buy this game if you even remotely enjoy RPG's.
Summary: Yep, you read my title correctly. Great game. Great story. In a time where game designers are making massive games with no story or characters that you care about at all, this is an exception. I enjoyed this almost as much as I enjoyed FFVII, and in some ways even more so.
Excerpt: I know that PS2 is kinda old news nowadays, but there are always those few that we love to play again, this is one of those games. Shadow Hearts: Covenant is the second game of a series, the first is Shadow Hearts, obviously. To play this game, it's a good idea to play the first. This game has a very great story line that is very unique, with great game play, it's like a book turned into a game.
The most stunning yet most overlooked RPG of all time

Excerpt: A stunning, epic and very entertaining rpg! Walk straight past the first Shadow hearts and pick up covenant, i implure you! Equip your characters with magical crests, tranform into mystical beasts, explore every characters personal abilities and take up the ultimate challenge of Soloman's trails!
Summary: The only game apart from FFX that I just cant stop playing. Absorbing plot, great game play, mini games that require some effort, multiple endings depending on how you complete certain parts of the game - yep its a great game!
Summary: Nowadays, most of games simply focus on graphics rather than gameplay and storyline which in my opinion is the most important aspect for a good game. Shadow Hearts: Convenant, in my opinion, has everything. Fantasic storyline where the story is evolved under the historical background of WW1. Very clever! I dare say this game is better than Final Fantasy! I haven't enojoyed a game like this one for many years now. Simply Great!
Immersive, compelling and laugh out loud adventure that is not one to be missed

Excerpt: Where do I begin? Many people who enjoy turn-based strategy games on the Playstation 2 rely on one series of games primarily - Final Fantasy. Why is this you may ask? Not only have they been very consistent with the high quality and production of their games since the Snes, but until now, there have been no real contenders to the turn-based crown - Final Fantasy does its job too well.
