The Best in the Series!!!

EndlessEarth , GameStop
26 February 2012
  • Summary: I just love this series i really want them to make more but that is probably out of the question because of the rights. Though everyone should get this game it is the bomb it got a lot humor, frustration within the judgement ring, and a great cast of characters along with the story with its music.

awesome game

  • Summary: This game takes place a bit after the first one. Although the first one had two possible endings, unfortunately this one makes one of them canon (my only problem with this game). There are new characters which are all great. The main character is the same as in the previous. The unexpected ending was pretty cool.

INCREDIBLE GAME!

Torine , GameStop
30 June 2010
  • Summary: I have yet to play the first game but you can still play the second one because throughout the game it gives enough back story to give you gist of the first game. playing this one first may serve to spoil the first one or just make it seem more tragic... *sob* i'd rate this series a 5 out of 7 ability to make you cry.

Rewriting History

Jeremy, the Duke of Otterland, RPGamer
15 April 2010
  • Excerpt: On June 28, 1914, Archduke Franz Ferdinand, heir to the Austrian throne, was assassinated by Slavic anarchists, beginning the First World War. As the war begins, the Imperial German Army sends one of its officers, Karin Koenig, to the French village Domremy, where a monster is rumored to live. Indeed, a monster does dwell here, slaughtering Karin's patrol, although she survives and sees it revert to human form.

  • Summary: This game had me enthralled from the very beginning. I had been a fan of the series since I stumbled on the first title by accident, and this game did not disappoint me at all. The story line flowed perfectly from the first game to 'Covenant', allowing for a fluid transfer between the two. The reappearance of some of the original characters is balanced by new skills and new characters.
  • Pros: Engaging story, Epic boss fights, Addictive gameplay, Innovative concepts, Just plain fun

Watch out, FF7!!

Cedric the wolf , GameStop

  • Summary: Well, where should I begin? This game was simply amazing. It begins in the eyes of a young Nazi officer named karen who meets the mysterious, however well known to shadow hearts 1 fans, yuri. From the beginning of the game, I was amazed at how well not just the characters, but even the environment was well crafted! Every single detail jumped out at you from every blade of grass outside, to the shining points of swords and teeth of Yuri's demons.

A sequal to shadow hearts

Jason The Meg & Dia Fan , GameStop
10 May 2008
  • Summary: This game is simple amazing being a sequel to an amazing RPG it really lives up to the shadow hearts name. The storyline like one is good making you want to keep on playing. The game starts out quite challenging which can cause frustration but it quickly gets easier making for the difficulty we expect in an RPG. The battle system took what 1 introduced The Judgment Ring and utilizes it even more, simply put you can do a combo attack with up to four members.

  • Summary: Finally, an original, innovative RPG. Shadow Hearts Covenant draws you in quickly, and carries you through a vast world that gets more complex and intriguing. SHC has plenty of side quests but they aren't mandatory to beat the game like so many RPGs, you don't have to 'level up' either which for me, was a huge plus. The battle system is unique but i believe adds to the game. Graphics are fantastic. Buy this game if you even remotely enjoy RPG's.
