Summary: This game had me enthralled from the very beginning. I had been a fan of the series since I stumbled on the first title by accident, and this game did not disappoint me at all. The story line flowed perfectly from the first game to 'Covenant', allowing for a fluid transfer between the two.
Pros: Engaging story, Epic boss fights, Addictive gameplay, Innovative concepts, Just plain fun
Conclusion: I found this game to be very addictive and worth renting. Battle system very easy to use and became second nature after a while, mostly a matter of timing. Characters were good although found playing as the wolf a tad irritating. Not as good as Final Fantasy series but not far off it.

Excerpt: Okay this is the Sequal to Shadow Hearts you don't need to have played part one to play part two but it helps. I suspect the disapointed reviewer suffered from not getting the instructions as there's no gentle lead in to the game mechanics.
Summary: Nowadays, most of games simply focus on graphics rather than gameplay and storyline which in my opinion is the most important aspect for a good game. Shadow Hearts: Convenant, in my opinion, has everything. Fantasic storyline where the story is evolved under the historical background of WW1.
