Pleased.

Ivan Modin, Amazon
2 April 2014
  • Summary: Got the game in reasonable time and it works fine! A little bit scratchy on the CD but not more than I expected for a rare game like this.

Putting Fun Back Into Footy!

James N. R. Goad "chumpsteak", Amazon
12 July 2006
  • Summary: Lets get this game's flaws out of the way first: The sound is very bad. Poor crowd SFX which are far too quiet & no commentary lead to a weak audio atmosphere. There are a few glitches.

Sensible Soccer is Back!

Squirrel Man, Amazon
28 June 2006
  • Summary: Before I start, arent you fed up of people reviewing games before they have actually played them, anyway, I have played this game! If you are after a great football game full of realism, stats, hundreds of options and be able to rival that of Pro Evo and Fifa then this is not what your loooking for.

Not quite what we remember

Pd Stewart, Amazon
25 June 2006
  • Summary: To start with what this game is not, it is not sensible world of soccer on the amiga. That game, as mentioned below was quite possibly the finest game on that system, other than Elite 2, and this version has clearly set out to try to recapture the playability and fun of the unrivalled original.

Retro fun

Iain Ashby "gigahoe", Amazon
16 June 2006
  • Summary: This obviously isn't a realistic football game. Firstly you can run into anyone to takle them, but that is the joy of it. Games are played at a frantic pace and some of the long range goals are amazing. This is a real throw back to when sports games were about fun not realism.

A classic reborn, almost

David Holmes, Amazon
12 June 2006
  • Summary: Never has a game been so timely. With the world cup here I was primed for virtual and non-virtual football action. And when my brother told me that the greatest football game of all time was being given a 2006 re-release I was, in the words of Shearer, dancing on the ceiling.
