Sensible Soccer 2006 PS2 Review

Console Obsession
31 May 2010
  • Excerpt: Ever since Codemasters announced the return of Sensible Soccer it has been an exciting time in the football genre. If you wanted an alternative to the two big ones or have been disillusioned at the painstaking realism of recent football games, then the return of the adored series is sure to be worth lacing your boots up for.

  • Excerpt: As much as you want something to be true, you often can't delude yourself forever. I believe that Spurs will make the Champions League next season and finally become a force in European football. I'm really hoping it turns out like that, but chances are that reality will come crashing down on me mid-way through the season. This is Spurs after all. Anyway, this rambling has a point.

Sensible Soccer 2006

Gamecell
19 October 2007
  • Conclusion: Sensible Soccer 2006 retains that style – simple, quick (although not as quick as the original) and a lot of fun. The whole game is controlled with just the left analog stick (to move), and the X, Circle and R1 buttons (for pass, shoot and sprint). As you can see from the screen shots, games are viewed from almost directly overhead, with goals appearing at the top and bottom of the screen, rather than the more regular left/right ends, and players all have a deformed 'big...
  • Pros: Old school gameplay given a modern polish is great fun, Multiplayer games are a blast
  • Cons: Basic presentation., Lack of depth for single players

NBA Street 2
