Summary: If you ever had a mega drive and liked it then get this, its a good trip down memory lane and fun however it misses some vital games one of which being one of the best 'Streets of Rage' trilogy, gutted thats not in it or Street Fighter 2 however its still a good old skool compilation of games we never thought we'd play again!
Summary: Having recently got this, let me say, (as have so many others!!) that this is a great value collection of days of yore! Yes: there are a few games on here you think "why on earth include it??", and yes: there are some glaring omissions such as the Streets of Rage series, Road Rash (my personal choice!), Earthworm Jim 1+2 (yes I know they released on later platforms!), the awesome & involving Desert/Jungle & Urban strike series & yes: many, many more!!
Not quite a "Mega Drive" collection but still a good one nevertheless

Summary: For any retro gamer or anybody looking to buy back a quick piece of their childhood memories, a title like Sega Mega Drive Collection is practically enough to jump out at them from the gaming shelves, you've probably long since sold or given away your original console and games because they were taking up too much "space" and now you've got the perfect excuse to buy some of it back on one handy little PS2 disc, but let's probe a little deeper and look what's being...
Sega Mega Drive Collection (PS2): The all too familiar sound of the opening screen screaming b ...

Summary: I can remember the time as a something year old boy, sat in my room with my Sega Mega Drive. The only way my parents could tell I was still alive was when they could hear Sonic's achievements or the Casio keyboard music of Italia '90. So, when I heard about the release of this game it was actually enough to make me put down GTA IV and Mercenaries World At War on my Xbox and go out and get it.
Pros: hours of game play, nostalgia, amazing fun to get your friends over
Cons: needs a follow up - so many more games that need to be brought back to us
Summary: I'll start now and say I only got this for the 3 Phantasy Star games 2-4,although I'd never played most of the games on here on a Megadrive, save for Altered Beast,Sonic and Bonanza Bros.I knew what they were like,I'm not going to bang on about what should have been on there, the only one that pops into mind for me was maybe Toejam and Earl,it has a great number of options, you can even play in progressive scan, rescale the screen etc.
Summary: This is just a quick heads up. In the listing above it states that Shadow Dancer: The secret of Shinobi is on the disc. This is false. This game only exists on the U.S release of Sega Megadrive collection!! It's a shame because Shadow Dancer is an excellent game and worthy addition (maybe not quite as worthy as revenge of shinobi would have been!!!
