samurai warriors 2 ultimate fan review

ACorneill, Ciao

  • Excerpt: This game is great, lots of good music, the characters voices are great, the levels and missions are to perfection, the graphics are great. the special musuos are also great , each unique - but some characters are similar, which is bad about it, but they are very powerful especially for chaos mode. Also survival mode is great, and you unlock mounts and special bodyguards from it ( kojiro and katsuie) ( moon child and persian mare).
  • Pros: similar to actual events, graphics, music, personalities , in depth stories
  • Cons: two missing story modes, removed characters

A cheap way to cash in on fans

  • Summary: Samurai Warriors 2 is just another in Koei's series of hack'n'slash warriors' games. The basic premise of the gameplay is just to whack your way through the 5 or 6 battles (one hit and your enemy is dead) that make up each character's story mode. The RPG elements that made the first Samurai Warriors game so cool and evolutionary are completely absent here, and much of the story has been diluted and drawn away from the warring states history.

Look a dynasty warriors clone!

  • Excerpt: Wow, a new dynasty warriors! Oh wait, it is dynasty warriors... SW2 is produced by KOEI, the same people who bought us Dynasty Warriors. Except this time, we're not in China but feudal Japan. It seems different already, wowzers. Except... It really isn't much different at all. Instead of hammering the square button hundreds of times to cut through hundreds of measly enemies, you are hammering the square button hundreds of times to get through hundreds of JAPANESE...
  • Pros: No fixed camera
  • Cons: Lacks depth, poor graphics

Not much improvements from its' prior instalment, but hack n slash is still good.

  • Excerpt: Samurai Warriors 2, the next instalment to the Samurai Warriors series, though it only has minor improvements from the previous Samurai Warriors, this is still a worthy purchase if you enjoy a good hack n slash game. This game offers you to play through Sengoku history as famous warriors from that period.

  • Excerpt: Samurai Warriors (Sengoku Musou) is a series of video games created by Koei's Omega Force team based loosely around the Sengoku ("Warring States") period of Japanese history and is a spin-off of the Dynasty Warriors series. As previously mentioned, this is the follow up to the original Samurai Warriors and fans of that game will not be disappointed, as this version keeps a number of the original features and adds some new ones.
  • Pros: ok
  • Cons: slighly boring
