  • Summary: I always loves the Warriors genre. Sure th ey all may be the same, and very little changes from time to time, but sometimes you just need to chill and play a simpæe game, where you can just unleash everything you have and go crazy on the enemy. It does look cool, like all the Warriors games, the characters, armors, weapons, and it is a middle age game, so if you like these kind of things, I always loves the Warriors genre.

  • Summary: This was the first game I played of the Warrior series (I didn't even know Dynasty Warriors), and I have to say I enjoyed it a lot. WIth all the details on, it looks so much better than the PS2 version and plays at smoother framerate (even though you'll experience slowdowns if you have a slow gpu, and you don't get the patch, as the game seems to not skip frames at all).

Recommendation indeed

  • Summary: I would recommend this game highly to all those interested in Koei's games. I myself started on Koei's Dynasty Warriors 3 as part of a Demo Disc, I love the characters, the character development, usage capability and not to mention the hours of fun and historical implementation of the Three Kingdoms Era in Dynasty Warriors and the Warring States Period in Samurai Warriors.

Just for Sugoroku

  • Summary: Bought Samurai Warriors 2 purely for the bonus game Sugoroku. I'm more a Dynasty Warriors fan myself but if you like Monopoly and games like that, you will LOVE Sugoroku. Worth the full price on it's own!

A deeper beat-em-up

  • Summary: I came to this one having played DW3, 3XL, 4, 4XL, 4E, 5, 5E, 6, 6E SW, SWXL, WO2 so I see myself as a somewhat long-standing series fan. For those who've never played any of these games the basis is that you basically take control of a famous warrior, go a battlefield and unleash your awesome power on the enemy army.

Follow The Path Of A Samurai Warrior

  • Summary: This game was fantastic to play I had never heard of Koei until i found this game. The game takes place in 1500s Japan and as a Samurai you must fight the powerful warlords and their massive armies to bring peace to the people of Japan. Only a handfull of characters are unlocked at fist but as u progress through the game more become available to you. There are 26 playable characters in total. Samurai warriors 2 is one of the best video games I have ever played.

samurai warriors 2 ultimate fan review

ACorneill, Ciao
5 February 2009
  • Excerpt: This game is great, lots of good music, the characters voices are great, the levels and missions are to perfection, the graphics are great. the special musuos are also great , each unique - but some characters are similar, which is bad about it, but they are very powerful especially for chaos mode. Also survival mode is great, and you unlock mounts and special bodyguards from it ( kojiro and katsuie) ( moon child and persian mare).
  • Pros: similar to actual events, graphics, music, personalities , in depth stories
  • Cons: two missing story modes, removed characters
