Summary: One of the worst games ever created. I am a huge Dynasty Warriors fan, but this game is just horrible. I really wanted to like it. I love Dynasty Warriors and I love Japan so this game should have been fantastic. No, what I got was slower gameplay, insanely unfair enemy A.I., dull graphics, horrendous voice acting, and a ton of other awful problems.
Summary: If you get this game I have to say that it really is better than SW2 and SW2XL, only because you could do just about anything in this game like for instance you can change scenarios depending on what clan you chose to rule, the reason why I think it's as good as the first is that It's a fresh Idea and feels like you actually accomplished something after a battle just like the first one, although the first one did have a lot of things brought from Dynasty Warriors it...
Summary: This is an awesome game i played samurai warriors 2 and dynasty warriors 6 and dynasty warriors 6 empires but when i played this i was all like woah this is awesome you can execute captured enemy officers if they decide not to join you and natural disasters occur on the map to either stop attacks in certain areas or take out a certain amount of troops in a certain area
Summary: This game is worth buying because of the powerful storyline, the strong characters and the strategy which adds twist that allows you to play the role of a political leader as well as fight on the battlefield. You decide what you want your army to do. This game is something I would recommend to people who like dynasty warriors as well as samurai warriors.
Excerpt: "...After playing for ages on samurai warriors 2, you really start to feel like you want to start your own conquest of the world. My only criticism is the make an officer mode, i felt it should have been more like the edit mode on Dynasty warriors 5 empires, where you have lots of different combinations, instead of using computer character models. The benefits of this game is you can play it forever and ever, it is time consuming due to its addictiveness, ...
A Dyansty Warriors 5 Empires copy based in the world of Samurai Warriors.

Excerpt: Another instalment of hacking, chopping, and slashing, with Samurai Warriors 2: Empires. Just like Dynasty Warriors 5: Empires, this time, KOEI's Samurai Warriors series takes on the Empires name and tries to illuminate the features that made Dynasty Warriors 4: Empires special and unique, which Dynasty Warriors 5: Empires clearly failed to achieve.

Having said that, Samurai Warriors 2: Empires misses the bench mark also, but still it turned out to be a fun game for those ...
Pros: Its' strategic additions make this superior to its' predocessor, 2 player co - op is always enjoyable
Cons: Graphically this game is for the SNES, voice actors should be burned for their performance
Summary: I've played samurai warriors 2 original. I've also played dynasty warriors 5 empires. When you stick the two together, you get samurai warriors 2 empires with a mutated map legend from "nobunaga's ambition 2" for SNES. All the other games I mentioned are better on the whole than this game. I was expecting the game to be a little more in-depth than what I found. Well, after purchasing the game for over $50 - I was wrong.
