S.L.A.I.

Game Boyz
10 September 2010
  • Excerpt: A few years back, X-Box fans were blessed with a fun little mech-combat gamer called Phantom Crash. However, due to other major title releases, Phantom Crash faded to the background. Genki has switched over to PS2 and released S.L.A.I.(Steel Lancer Arena International) While the name of the game is rather disconnected from the actual game - nowhere is this name mentioned anywhere else, the league name actually being FIRA - it certainly is catchy.

S.L.A.I. - Steel Lancer Arena International

Playstation Illustrated
1 November 2007
  • Excerpt: S.L.A.I. - Steel Lancer Arena International features some very stylized graphics in the menus that remind me of either “TRON” (the movie) or Rez ; basically, vector graphic in appearance, but with very vibrant colors. The interface is essentially Hollywood’s vision of the internet (at least circa the 80's, when we were watching Max Headroom and “Hackers”).

S.L.A.I. Review

VideoGamer.com
1 September 2007
  • Excerpt: A few Xbox owners may remember Phantom Crash, a great little mech-combat game from Genki. Released relatively early in the console's life, the system lacked the user base to make the niche title a success and with Xbox Live in its infancy, it wasn't one of the early titles to take advantage of it. However, it was praised for its tight gameplay and customisation options, and went on to reach quite a cult status.

S.L.A.I.: Steel Lancer Arena International Review

GameSpot
29 September 2005
  • Excerpt: Early in the Xbox's life cycle, Genki released a fun little robot-combat game called Phantom Crash. It earned itself a handful of fans, but didn't quite make the splash that the developer or publisher had hoped. Three years later and on another platform, Phantom Crash gives it another go, modified and renamed to Steel Lancer Arena International, or S.L.A.I. for short. S.L.A.I.
  • Pros: Controls more accessible than your usual robot combat game, Fast-paced action, Lengthy story mode
  • Cons: Earning money can be a grind, Limited multiplayer options

  • Excerpt: C'EST LA QUE SONT L'ARGENT ET LES SENTATIONS FORTES !!

S.L.A.I. – Steel Lancer Arena International

Spiele Magazin
12 January 2008
  • Summary: ""S.L.A.I.

S.L.A.I. : Steel Lancer Arena International

JeuxVideo.fr
2 November 2007

S.L.A.I. - Steel Lancer Arena International

GameCaptain
18 November 2005
  • Conclusion: S.L.A.I. ist wieder eins der Spiele, die eigentlich kein Mensch braucht.
