Rygar: The Legendary Adventure

Thunderbolt Games
14 August 2004
  • Excerpt: When writing about Rygar: The Legendary Adventure , many people would reminisce about the NES version. Too bad Iíve never even seen the game in action, let alone actually played it. The only thing I really knew about Rygar is that the game was blatantly advertised on the scoreboard in Tecmo Super Bowl . I didnít know what to expect while starting up the new PS2 version, but what I got was an enjoyable action ride. The game takes place in the age of Greek mythology.

Rygar: The Legendary Adventure

Game Over Online
23 January 2003
  • Excerpt: There are very few, if any, people on Earth that don’t know Greco-Roman mythology. (Which of course makes sense, considering that Western civilization has been heavily influenced by these two cultures.) We’re talking about harshly learned lessons about hubris, greed, and vanity. Familial struggles over power and respect that make the worst Jerry Springer show look like an episode of Pokemon.

Rygar: The Legendary Adventure

Gamebits
9 December 2002
  • Excerpt: In olden days of yore existed a hero of myth, who set forth on a legendary journey. His name was not Hercules; it was Rygar, and he was beloved by the few people who knew his name. It was the mid-Eighties on the original Nintendo system that Rygar first ventured forth.

PSX Extreme

  • Excerpt: Without a doubt, 2002 will be remembered as the year that paid homage to the golden-age. The golden-age is referred by many as the pinnacle era of videogaming, which highlights the span ranging from the birth of gaming to the 16-bit generation. This year, we saw updates of classics such as Contra, Shinobi, Mortal Kombat (I try to forget MK4 ever happened), Zelda: A Link to the Past, Defender, Metroid, Sonic (Sonic Mega Collection) and Rygar.

Rygar : The Legendary Adventure

JeuxVideo.fr
22 August 2004

Rygar: The Legendary Adventure

Outerspace
14 January 2003
