Summary: Rumble Racing is the sequal to NASCAR Rumble on the PS1. nascar rumble was an arcade/ combat racing game were you could be your favorite NASCAR driver and race on the open road rather than an oval. this time around, they took away the nascar. the same control engine still is used. they've also added a trick engine, so when you go of a jump, you can flip your car around. graphics: the graphics are solid. they run smoothly and the frame rate always keeps up.
Summary: Rumble Racing mixes three games into one and is a really exciting fun racing game. You have got shortcuts and stunts\tricks that give you a boost of speed like in SSX Tricky. There are lots of different great weapons that you collect, one being a tornado which is similar to Mario Kart. The handling of the cars are very much like Need For Speed. There are lots of cars that you unlock as you progress through the game.
Summary: If your idea of heaven is tinkering with your engine in GT3 then you'll HATE this game, but for pure and simple racing action, it does the job nicely. Everything looks very smooth, and the handling is suitably arcadey. The addition of power-ups mean this has more in common with kart racers than traditional driving games, with plenty of special effects to direct at your opponents including the spectacular Tornado which sees the skies cloud over and all the cars but yours...
Excerpt: Rumble Racing is one of the best-polished driving games around. It isn?t a simple case of driving around in an old banger and coming in at first place. There is far more than this. You could say that this was a driving version of EA?s snowboard classic SSX. Whereby you earn boosts and points for pulling off tricks. This may seem tricky within a car but wait ?til you try it out. Better than all of this you get WEAPONS on your car.
Excerpt: Sorry about the title, I wanted to attract your attention! Sorry.... If you are one of those people out there that does not like to spend 10 minutes or more reading reviews, I’ll give you one word... WOW!!! But if you are not lazy, (like the people who have only read the top paragraph) I’ll continue. This game is great!
Excerpt: Rumble Racing Publisher: Electronic Arts Developer: Electronic Arts Players: 1-2 Price: RRP-£39.99 (£31.49 via www.gameswire.com) Official Website: www.rumbleracing.ea.com After battling through the graphically stunning Smugglers Run several months ago I needed a new fix and I’m glad to tell I found it in the form of Rumble Racing which is super fast and action packed, constantly!.
Summary: At first glance, Rumble Racing seems to be an average racer with mediocre graphics...however if you look beneath the surface, hours of fun are to be had. This game is supremely addictive...more so than any other PS2 game I've played so far! I think the secret is that the races are just the right length...SSX is great but the races were just a tad too long and it sometimes seemed like a great chore to start a level again.
Summary: Car games have become a bit tedious latley, so what makes this one stand out? Its the fun factor thats been given the boost, racing games needed. The graphics are smooth but lack detail. Handling is responsive and has an arcade feel. Gameplay is fast and furious, with lots of action and a good longevity. Overall get this if you want somthing different from your driving games.
Summary: Rumble Racing is all about fast arcade-styled racing and it does what it intends to do just about as well as possible. There's not another four-wheeled racing game that moves nearly as fast, and it's arguable that the speed you get with the Elite class cars is comparable or even a cut above the breakneck speeds offered by the top of the line vehicles in any of the Wipeout titles on PlayStation.
