Summary: Finally I thought; after the world cup; games will flood out on allformats just for all the new rugby fans that would flock to the shops tobuy them; after the original 'rugby' ; a good game buy all accounts thenewest game in the series would be good i thought;how wrong i was.Gameplay; poor.Graphics;...
Summary: Probably the worth £30 I've ever spent in my life. The game is slow, it reacts as well as a Lada on snow (I wonder if the people at EA have ever heard of the rugby term "quick hands" as it takes about 3 seconds for a player to pass the ball once you've pressed the button!!!
Summary: Although it was a good idea to get a rugby game out just before the rugby world cup but in my mind the game was rushed. Lower than par graphics is the most obvious flaw in the game, people rave about the improvment but when compared with games like Madden, Fifa and Pro Evolution this game would be...
Not angry...........................just dissapointed
15 October 2003
Summary: As a keen rugby player and an avid PS2 fan, I am very, very dissapointed with the results of Rugby 2004. As mentioned already yes the Stadiums are very good with the selection of players etc, line-outs and scrums are okay, but as for the rest of the game, an absolute waste of money.
Summary: Let down again, there has been 4 rugby games produced for consoles as far as I can remember. The megadrive was the first, followed by Lomu for the PS1 which was and still is the most playable and well written game. Then, too much disappointment came the EA efforts, and yes this is a poor effort.
Summary: A truly woeful effort by EA - they have clearly rushed it out to cash in on the WC and the result is a totally substandard game. There are some nice ideas here, bringing in an expanded range of teams together with a 'master league' a la Pro Evolution - but I never even got far enough with the game...
Summary: Firstly, let me just say that I have never written a game review before, but have been playing video games for some time now. This game is so powerfully bad that I had to write a review in order to vent some of the anger that has been building up ever since I first popped the disc into my PS2.
Summary: Here is what I think of Rugby 2004. This may be affected because I was really looking forward to the game (more than any game in recent memory), having enjoyed the first one and hoping that this would take out the bad bits and add lots of good bits.
Summary: Once again EA plam off Rugby fans with a savagely below par electronic adaptation of this most enigmatic of sports. On playing the game one is assaulted by the mediocrity off the menus, options and official licence.
