Great Rugby

Germangel Andino, Amazon

  • Summary: At the begining is hard to get a hold of the controls, but once you do its all about strategy, is a nice way to get to know the game

Rugby 06

C. Jones Trevor "iejo", Amazon
22 September 2007
  • Summary: I like rugby 06 alot. the offloding and the new moves are really good. But the players with the stars is what spoils it, because they make it completely unrealistic. For example: Tana Umanga breakes 8 tackles, no player can do that.

The next generation of sport games

Rugby Fan, Amazon
19 July 2006
  • Summary: The first Rugby game I bought was Jonah Lomu rugby on PS1 and that was one of the best games I had ever played. The second Rugby game I bought (quite a few years later) was Rugby 05. I played this for about a week and got very bored with it. A friend of mine who is a huge fan of rugby 06 lent it to me on xbox and my life has never been the same. I wasn't expecting much as I was still disapointed with 05 but I thought I would give it a go.

Join the Scrum!

Amazon
20 March 2006
  • Summary: I got this game awhile back and let me tell you, I have been playing it ever since. They have added lots of controls to the game including being able to off-load passes to another player when not fully down in a tackle, shimmies (or jukes), hand-offs, dummy-passes, and a whole bunch more. You're also able to use the illegal high-tackle to try and force a injury or turn over. If you're worried about not knowing anything about Rugby, don't worry.

Best

FatTaff "Fat Taff", amazon.co.uk
3 February 2013
  • Summary: This is the best rugby game so far. It needs improvement (better handling of lineout, scrum and ruck, taking more account of forward ability and management, for instance) but the 2007 goes backwards, actually reducing the skill element in the lineout (when it was pretty basic to start with). The PS3 offerings are wildly inferior.

The problems with Rugby 06

David L, amazon.co.uk
29 October 2009
  • Summary: This game has some good points, but is spoilt by the few bad points. The good points are:- Lions tour, good tournament options, decent graphics, fun gameplay (except a few things which ill mention in my bad points), and good commentry. Thing is when playing the game, all this can be spoilt simply because in scrums, rucks and malls you have absoultly no say in what happens!
