KOEI have created a very good strategy game in Romance of the Three Kingdoms VIII that is on a par with the best turn-based games on the PC. As a fan of strategy games I've found it refreshing that such an accomplished strategy game is available on the PlayStation 2. This game is so addictive, has so many different options, and has such infinite replayability that I’m more than willing to look over its shortcomings. The good simply far, far outshines the bad. This version of RTK is the best by far in my opinion. To do away with all the melodrama of other critics...this is one is the most versatile of all the series. The "growing pains" of your created character are directly impacted within the RTK world you play in. When I first saw RTC, I thought it was going to be just another boring two-bit excuse for a game, but after playing playing it for a day or two I started to love it. I will admit, it does take a little getting used to, but depth in the relationships between you and your officers is really detailed.
