Summary: I quite liked this game, and have even learned a lot of things about different types of rollercoasters, etc. For someone who is interested in Architecture like me, it's motivating. However the only reason why I gave it a 4 star is because there's only 8 levels and should really be more so you end up not abandoning the game. After completing all levels, there's not much else to do except build a theme park, but that's kind of boring because nothing really happens.
Summary: This game is excellent. I recently found it at Entertainment Exchange going for a measly £1.50 and decided to pick it up. A bargain, as I soon found out. The game gives you the freedom to make tracks that mercilessly kills the riders, pass through themselves and other things and much more. You can even customize the rollercoaster, station and cars! This game is so much more than the value makes it out to be. BUY IT.
Rollercoaster World PS2 - Review by my Son (12 years old)
31 October 2010
Summary: DON'T buy this game i have this game like 6 years ago it was verry bad i got this game four £8 the graphics are ugly and look like a uesed and unflushed toilet the 2nd level is way too hard the game lets you blud theme parks but it dont last four very long the only good modes are quick ride 1 and quick ride 2 the worst modes are challenge mode and management mode do not buy this game buy thriville off the rails instead or ride a rollercoaster if you want to music 1.0/5.0...
Summary: A few years ago I got this game thinking it was Rollercoaster Tycoon for the PS2 - I was so wrong! It is the most dire game I have ever played. The basis to it is that you're building a theme park, with the centre piece of course a Roller coaster. But building these things is so frustrating, boring and no fun at all that it is not worth while. Not only is the gameplay rubbish the graphics are also one of the worst for a game.
Summary: Rollercoaster world is not massively pricey or awkward. It's not complicated ( don't listen to those people who"can't do it",they cannot use the loo without their mum helping),and underneath the dodgy graphics, the 2d customers and the slow-ish loading,It's a decent game where you get to manage a park without having to calculate the amout of lettuce in each burger. Brill.
Summary: this game is so bad everything is just so bad. the graffics th gameplay THE ENJOYMENT if i didn'tlike my ps2 so much i would have thrown it out the window. rollercoaster building is so bad i cant bellieve it. it limits your height and it even lets you go underground then when you say finished it says you can't have it so you have to delete all the track after that part to change one particular thing its just so annoying.
Summary: Rollercoaster world sounds terrible looks terrible but is actually a surprisingly good game! You can create your own theme park, complete rollecoaster challenges or just ride some precreated coasters! It is a good game. Just read the instructions, be patient and have fun!!!
Summary: Thought it was going to be great but some of the graphics were awful, especially the bit were you build your own theme park up. I got so annoyed trying to build a rollercoaster, the best bit for me was riding the pre-made ones (some of them were fab and the graphics on these bits are much better) But as a simulation game, it didnt really work for me. I like something with better graphics.
