Not perfect, but what is? It's playable and that's the important part

Summary: I think it's possible that a majority of the negative reviewers just got lemons and if I were them I'd give the thing a poor rating too, but I also think the more "hardcore" you are about the game, the chances of you breaking an instrument go up. I play on "medium" or "hard" because I like to move around a lot when I play and I personally don't like the idea of staring intently at the screen with all of my focus devoted to getting a high score.
Summary: The standalone guitar that I received malfunctioned at first. I contacted the manufacturer, though, and was able to get a free replacement. It took a bit of time, but the replacement looks good and works perfectly. The manufacturer's website is very user-friendly and the process was pretty simple to get a replacement without too much hassle. Of course, my rating would be higher had I received a working product in the first place.
Summary: You can really get drawn into this game! Hours and hours of trying to hit the correct colours is so much fun! And this also has many good songs, some very good classics that really rock. Some of the songs are not so familiar, but they go with the flow. The only big problem in the game is, that there is no guide to help you understand the logic of the game. We spent many hours just wondering how to get more songs to play. Guide for the simple minds, please!
Summary: Saw guitar hero advertised, but a little pricey so went for Rockband for ps2 instead. I have 2 children (12&14) and didn't know what to get them for christmas, so thought this would be a fun family game - and guess what? It is brilliant. Got it out pre-christmas to check if it was working properly and we were on it for 2 1/2 hrs! Kids wanted more but I had to wrap it up. You can have solo, two, three or four players.
Summary: I have been playing Guitar Hero for some time now, so when I saw Rock Band I thought it would be fun. I currently use the Kramer guitar I got with Guitar Hero 3, and it works a treat on Rock Band. Most of the songs on here are very well known, which is a relief if you're really not a big rocker, like myself.
Summary: I got this game, but didn't want to pay the rip-off prices for the band instruments. Fortunately, I have the wired guitar hero controller that came with guitar hero 2, and this game works with that. It does not work with singstar microphones though. If nothing else, this game provides more songs for those who have exhausted guitar hero. And i reckon that the songs are actually better than those on GH 1, 2, Aersomith and even GH3. Rockband has more well-known tracks.
Summary: Je ne pansait pas que la batterie allais être d'aussi bonne qualité, vraiment très satisfais et bien emballé. Et le bruit n'est pas si horrible finalement quand on joue, car j'avais un peut peur niveau du son mais on si habitue.
