Return to Castle Wolfenstein: Operation Resurrection

The Armchair Empire
17 January 2004
  • Conclusion: Canceling out much of the graphical woes of OC is the audio in the game. With decent music, good voice acting, and very helpful sound cues, the aural experience here is very good. As is the case with a lot of games with guards on duty, as you creep up on them you’ll get to eavesdrop on their conversations. There isn’t too much hilarity to be had, but you do get useful tidbits on what to expect from the level.

Return to Castle Wolfenstein: Operation Resurrection Review

GameSpot
5 June 2003
  • Excerpt: When Return to Castle Wolfenstein was released for the PC in 2001, it was lauded for its extraordinary team-based multiplayer component, which featured a number of different maps and objectives and a class system that let players take on different roles in battle. The single-player mode was largely viewed as being technically competent, but hardly worth the price of admission, especially when compared with the game's strong online mode.

  • Excerpt: I wasn’t too keen on reviewing Call Of Duty : Finest Hour since it lacked save points (meaning you‘d better be an excellent shot or have a God mode code ready to wade through endless enemies), and it featured the Russians… eck, speaking of which what’s with the obligatory Tractor Factory level everytime there’s Russians in a first person shooter anyway! Just because Russians always talk about making tractors doesn’t mean there has to be a Tractor Factory level!
