Summary: I've tried several times to play this game and I can hardly get through it at all. I'm a big fan of the RE series, I own almost every game they've ever made and I've played through most of them several times. This is obviously the exception. I'm not giving up on it yet, it's just so ridiculous. The graphics are beyond bad and the game itself is insanely difficult. I did find it terrifying, which is part of the point, so kudos on that one, Capcom.
Summary: This game is pretty painful to play. While you get used to the controls relatively quickly, not simply having the characters movements correspond to those of the analog is absurdly frustrating. It felt like on every new screen I had to push the control a different direction for the same response. Transitions between sections are painfully slow. Intended to be suspenseful, it was only cute the first few times.
Summary: Code Veronica is hands down the most frustrating, pain-in-the-butt Resident Evil game in the entire series. The formula is the same, but the game is horribly imbalanced. If you don't play through it in a very specific way, it is possible to reach a point where it literally becomes unplayable because you will run out of ammo.
Summary: Don't be fooled by the epic opening FMV, unless you enjoy wandering for hours searching for keys (or adventure game interpretations of keys), working though a boring and convoluted story, and above all not being scared; steer clear. The visuals may have been cutting edge on the dreamcast, but they're pretty bland and washed out on PS2, (not to say that the game should be judged completely on its looks, but it doesn't help) Voice acting is pretty bad, and dialogue is...
Summary: If there is one thing I've learned about video games, it's that you should never play a newer game and work your way back to older games. Let's take this game for example. I have Resident Evil 4 for the Wii and I absolutely loved it. I decided to get another RE game and settled on this one based on the semi-good reviews. Boy, was I disappointed. One of the biggest disappointments is the camera angles.
Summary: It has great sound, graphics, and I must say the zombies are pretty stupid(but then again they always have been). The bad thing about this game is that, the puzzles oh the puzzles, they're so confusing. I've beat all of the Resident Evil games on PS1 and PS2 up to this one, and they are all challenging, but not as hard as this one.

Summary: I know I'm going to recieve a lot of backlash from this, but I have to say that this game wasn't scary whatsoever. The zombies got old really quick, the cheesy music sucked, the story line was garbage, and it was all just one big lump of futile waste. It had no point whatsoever. Why do you people think this is so scary? IT'S NOT!
Fun game but too much running around and not enough ammo

Summary: Resident Evil Code: Veronica X has a great story plot. Fun action and many things to do. But there is a constant running around, and you are always in need of the guide to play the game. You continue through the game, only to remember you have forgotten a certain item in the deposit box and it gets very annoying becuase you can only carry like 5 things at a time. Your saves are limited, and you have extremely low ammo.
Summary: I have been a fan of resident evil games for quite some time, so when I purchased my play station this is one of the first games I bought. The graphics and voice-overs dont bother me, what bothers me is the you are constantly running out of ammo, health and patience. This is the 3rd time that I have had to restart the game over to see if I could save more ammo to kill that monsters in the airplane which by the way is practically invincible.
Summary: I have been a Resident Evil fan for quite some time so when I bought my PS2 this is one of the very first games that I bought. I am very dissapointed, graphics are O.K and the voice- over's don't bother me at all what bothers me is that you are constantly running out of ammo, health and patience, the game is too hard to beat, I have tried many times without any success and I am still stuck in the airplane trying to kill the big zombie dude which by the way is impossible,...
