  • Excerpt: As the title implies, the game is set in the fictional Radiata Kingdom, a world made up of humans and various mythological creatures that are grouped together and known as "fairies." The game starts out with the player being introduced to the naive but lovable hero, Jack Russell, a young boy who just so happens to open his mouth at very inopportune times.

Radiata Stories

RPG LAND
14 December 2005
  • Excerpt: Radiata Stories story revolves around the life of Jack Russell, the main hero in the game. He is your typical naive but determined, strong type of youth that doesn’t think before he acts. It starts with him waking up (how typical can you get?) in the morning as his sister tells him to hurry up and get ready. After all, it’s his day of the entrance test to become a knight.

  • Excerpt: tri-Ace is a well-known developer for the hardcore RPGFan. Having created the Star Ocean series as well as the vaunted PSOne classic Valkyrie Profile, tri-Ace has established a dynasty with their titles. Radiata Stories is coming straight on the heels of RPGFan's 2004 Game of the Year, Star Ocean: Till the End of Time, and has some pretty big shoes to fill.

Radiata Stories

Game Over Online

  • Excerpt: I found Radiata Stories incredibly frustrating. Not frustrating in that "Wow, what an extraordinarily crap game" way, either. It was frustrating in the sense that I can easily see the potential of the title, and it does a great many things right, but then ends up falling flat on its face anyway. Call it frustrating, disappointing, or simply a waste of potential.

  • Summary: First you tell me it's a game about radiator stories. Now that I play it, I find that it's another RPG filled with adventure, treasure, and babes. You are such a Square...Enix!

Radiata Stories

Project COE
6 September 2005
  • Conclusion: There isn’t much to say about the sound other then it fits the game like a glove. What you’ll get here is simple themes that go along well with the humoristic storyline. The voice-acting is also extremely well done which is a necessity in a game filled dialogue such as Radiata. The soundtrack probably won’t win any awards, but it’s one that will be hummed constantly as the player goes through the game. A simple game like this needed a nice little relaxing score.
