Pros & Cons

  • huge amount of content, above average voice acting, kicking stuff, excellent story, not too long
  • awful quest system, just another typical rpg, few save points, not available, very simple battles

Enter a never-before-seen living, breathing world where all of the characters live their own lives and the passage of time brings about remarkable changes.

Radiata Stories has a fair amount of replay value to back it up.  It has 175 recruitable characters, and if you go through both scenarios, you’ll have about 30 hours of gameplay, assuming you don’t get lost.  This is a fun game.  It’s not going to stick with you like some of the more epic releases lately, but if you’re looking for a really fun RPG to try out, don’t hesitate on this.  Radiata Stories had the potential to be a little better, but you know,... I have a very strange relationship with Tri-Ace. I'm not a fan, but I can't say I hate them either. Valkyrie Profile is one of my favorite games, yet the Star Ocean series are some of my least liked. So I approached Radiata Stories with caution. Good thing I did because this way I had no high hopes that could be crushed. Read more

An upbeat, engaging game with more personality than a room full of monkeys with genetically-enhanced personalities. Read more

Konami's Suikoden series gained instant fame with its unique character recruiting system, allowing you to have up to 108 (plus four secret) allies join your side throughout the game. Square-Enix has decided to take it to the next level. Cross-breeding its own Star Ocean: Till the End of Time's instantly engaging story and fast-paced battles with Suikoden's character recruitment system and endless quests, we have the beautiful RPG offspring: Radiata Stories. Unfortunately, that's not enough. Square-Enix manages to spin a good yarn and populate an interesting world full of fantastic characters, but a plethora of inexcusable design decisions threaten to unravel everything. Despite its promise, some serious growing pains prevent this adolescent from truly coming of age. Read more

This games comes from the people who developed for the PS1 called Threads of Fate. Which consisted in a two main characters story lines. This game fully develops the action rpg wich is very unique of this series. This game has good battle development and leveling attributes. I consider this one of the game must have if you like action rpgs. Read more
