Pros & Cons

  • short rpg, 177 characters to recruit, lots of colorful characters, graphics voice acting kicking, no random enemy encounters
  • nothing is revolutionary, un skippable cut scenes, awful quest system, some dialog, just another typical rpg

Enter a never-before-seen living, breathing world where all of the characters live their own lives and the passage of time brings about remarkable changes.

Radiata Stories has a fair amount of replay value to back it up.  It has 175 recruitable characters, and if you go through both scenarios, you’ll have about 30 hours of gameplay, assuming you don’t get lost.  This is a fun game.  It’s not going to stick with you like some of the more epic releases lately, but if you’re looking for a really fun RPG to try out, don’t hesitate on this.  Radiata Stories had the potential to be a little better, but you know,... An upbeat, engaging game with more personality than a room full of monkeys with genetically-enhanced personalities. Read more

Konami's Suikoden series gained instant fame with its unique character recruiting system, allowing you to have up to 108 (plus four secret) allies join your side throughout the game. Square-Enix has decided to take it to the next level. Cross-breeding its own Star Ocean: Till the End of Time's instantly engaging story and fast-paced battles with Suikoden's character recruitment system and endless quests, we have the beautiful RPG offspring: Radiata Stories. 4. Radiata Stories – Review

I like to poke around in all the nooks and crannies of a videogame—to wander aimlessly until I find a secret passage or a hidden boss. I love games that I can keep playing even after I finish them, and games with no ending at all are even better. So Radiata Stories , the action role-playing game (action RPG) from tri-Ace, should be my personal heaven: it's got a branching story that the player controls in a pretty big way, a bonus dungeon, and more sidequests than... Radiata Stories is certainly a great, entertaining RPG for the PlayStation 2 , even if it’s more comedic and light-hearted than the Star Ocean saga or other Square franchises. The game plays very smoothly and flows well, sports large and pleasant environments to explore, has a wonderful musical score, and (as I’ve said before) is more engaging and alive than anything I’ve played all summer. I especially appreciate the believable voiceacting performances and the... Read more

This games comes from the people who developed for the PS1 called Threads of Fate. Which consisted in a two main characters story lines. This game fully develops the action rpg wich is very unique of this series. This game has good battle development and leveling attributes. I consider this one of the game must have if you like action rpgs. Read more
