Summary: This game, the final in the R-type series, was and is a wonderful game. Keeping in line with its classic counterparts in gameplay style, with that old 2-d side scrolling shooter feel, but with wonderful 3d graphics. With over 100 unlockable ships starting with the classic R-9A Arrowhead, and with it many wave cannon and weapon variations.. this game will entertain for a LONG time.
Summary: Great ps2 game, definitely showcases the ps2's graphical capabilities. The game itself hold true to the R-type series, lots of enemies, a tonne of ships and customization, and crippling difficulty!
Summary: Those looking for a fast paced side scrolling shooter will not be disappointed. Those who value their free-time away from video games should look elsewhere. R-Type Final offers a rewarding shooter experience provided you challenge it on "Human" (normal) difficulty or higher. It's hardly worth playing on the lower settings due to a lack of any real challenge. This game offers 101 different ships you can play with. Unlocking them is both rewarding and aggrivating.
Summary: R-Type, the legendary spaceship shooter, has come blasting back with her classic horizontally scrolling blueprint intact. Through waves of alien miscreants, you'll fight for each gained inch of space battlefield while collecting power-up items to enhance your ship's most primary weapon, the Mighty Orb Of Death.
Summary: In spite of the slightly out-of-place feel that a side-scrolling shoot-'em-up game has in a modern gaming climate, R-Type final is still a lot of fun. It looks good, with a timeless design ethic, and sounds great too. Plus, the ability to unlock and play with various different R-type vessels makes the game surprisingly compelling. Sometimes, you just want somethign you can blast away on for a few minutes, and this game does very well in that regard.
Summary: R-type what to say its final its the final one. The side scrolling shooter is going but R-Type will live in are hearts and in are hands. So ppppppppllleeaassssssssseeeeeee buy this legendary game. With updated grphics and new modes this is one for the HISTORY BOOKS OW YES IT IS !
Summary: I like this game for the following reasons: -101 ships: each is unique in terms of looks, weapon configurations and handling. This really adds to gameplay on a strategical level, as certain ships are better for certain levels. The other benefit is that it's satisfying to unlock things, because it gives you additional desire to actually play and something to look forward to. -one hit kills; no health. If you are hit, you will die.
