Pro Evolution Soccer (PS2): Revolutionary football game
27 May 2009
Summary: Arguably one of the best football games to have ever been created. Not only is the action as intense and compelling as what you'd expect from watching an actual football game , but the different features that are available also enhance the game's quality. Some people are FIFA people. Some people are Pro Evo people. The latter group is obviously the one with a taste for good football games.
Summary: Pro Evolution Soccer is the first game in a long line of football themed games. Orginially, you could only by this game on a couple of platforms, but after its sucess, you could buy it on them all. I got it on this console, Playstation 2, and I loved it. Although it is a bit basic, and now near the standard as the one's that are out now, I still like.
Excerpt: "...TO DO SO STOP MOANING! THE pro evolution series just gets better with pro evolution 5 being released after the fifa 06 game. I personally have played the imported version before this was released and I thought that was WOW!its fun, harder to play, the controls are somewhat confusing i.e., to shoot is x instead of circle and this is realistic, fun, fast and hard!if You liked pro 4 u'd love this. There are a few gameplay modes, ie., you can challenge ...
Pros: best footy game, very enjoyable, fun and exciting ! ! !
Excerpt: "The much awaited Pro Evo 5 hit the shops yesterday, with many people rushing out to buy it. I was one of them. As i got back from school i couldn't hold in my excitement. The start up is much the same as Pro Evo 4 The menus look much less childish and they easily look as if they could be out of a FIFA game. They have licensed a few more teams, including Arsenal and Chelsea in the premiership which is a big improvement. I did not like the slowness ...
Pros: Better looking menus, graphics have improved, Licensed more teams
Cons: Gameplay is a bit slow, game is much more difficult .
Excerpt: "Pro Evolution Soccer 4 IS the greatest football game of all time (until PES 5 is released on 21/10/05). Having played the Pro Evolution Soccer series since it's inception on PS2 the 4th installment is undoubtebly the best of them all. It is the closest thing to real football you can get from a games console. The gameplay is superb with every game providing a new challenge. The simpler difficulty levels make it easy to pick up and play if you are ...
Pros: Best football game available, ulra realistic, excellent graphics
Cons: Poor commentary, Lack of real player names in some leagues
Excerpt: "...it is an improvement on Pro Evo 3. The commentary on Pro Evo 4 is still well behind the likes of Fifa 2005 but still is much better than that in Fifa Street(see my review) *Graphics* 4/5 The graphics in this game are very good. While they sometimes can be seen as blurred they are still top notch, for PS2 anyways. The graphics in terms of depthness and detail are probably not as good as Fifa 2005 or Fifa Street but are still very good, and ...
Pros: lots of teams, some liscenses, great gameplay
Excerpt: "Pro evolution soccer 4, what a superb game. This game is about playing football and winning trophys to put in the vicory data. Also you have to collect PES points (like money) to collect things like new camera angles or new stadiams. This helps add more interest into the game. However there are many negatives about this game. I find the games graphics quite good but i feel that they could be improved, i find the sound quite good when you start ...
Pros: fun, challenging, for the family, intense, modern
Excerpt: "This game is brilliant if your a big fan of football, you have loads of choices of what mode you want to play like the world cup or the master league mode. In the world cup mode you have the ability to choose which opponents you have in your group like the mighty Brazil and France or the minnows like Morroco and Slovakia and in the master league mode you can make transfers by earning points, you get these points by winning matches and scoring loads ...
Pros: It has good graphics and is fun to play
Cons: Not proper players for the master league mode
