Pro Evolution Soccer 5 (PS2): Just behind PES 3 on PS2
14 January 2010
Summary: If you still own a PS2 and are looking to satisfy your console football needs, Pro Evolution 5 just might be the game for you. This game was the last Pro Evolution game that I was truly satisfied with, seeing as Konami would later become lazy in producing their future releases and making the series stagnant. The bread and butter of any PES game is the Master League, where you have three options of starting your campaign.
Summary: This game is an up from all of the other games that came previously in this series. It has progressed a lot since the begining, and it isnt just the graphics I am talking about (which are great by the way), but also the game play. The thing that I like most about playing this game is that you dont have to paky it on your own. I play it with my kids, and we have a lot of fun, so it keeps us both entertianed for a whole.
Summary: To me this is the best Football game available although there is one massive let down that causes it to fall short big time of what it could achieve. I used to be a big Fifa fan and always used to buy Fifa every year and play that for hours every day and get really into that game and i used to think it was the best things since sliced bread was invented and brought into the world.
Summary: Konami's Pro Evolution Soccer 5 has struck gold once again! After the success of Pro 4, Konami have once again created a football game where every detail has been improved on the football pitch like passing and dribbling the ball, and even diving in the penalty box! The graphics on this game aren't quite as developed as the ones on FIFA but the gameplay is a thousand times better.
Summary: As a youngster i played on Fifa non stop for many hours a day. I have all the games from Fifa 98 to Fifa 2007 is was only until recently when someone told me abot Pro Evo and i finally played it when i realsied what i had been missiing out on for all those years. I became hooked, the gameplay far outsrips Fifas, it is far more realistic for example you can't lob the keeper from the halfway line and you can't run the ball up the pitch as the keeper.
Excerpt: "...until recently that i discovered Pro evo. As soon as i first played on it i beame hooked i realised that for many years of my life i had been missing out. Pro Evo has amazing gameplay and the best bit has got to be when you make tournemants and play with your friends. For me Fifa is a bit easy, for example you can score with your keeper and score from the half way line. For those people who want a challenge i suggest Pro Evo, ok so it doesn't have ...
Excerpt: "The latest in Pro Evo series and not a bad game either just like its predocesors, as I have owned every Pro Evo soccer game in the past (from Iss soccer on SNES to Pro Evo 5) I would rate this one the best so far but it still has room for improvment , BAD POINTS ABOUT PRO EVO 5 for instance while each player has their own sepperate ability to reflect that of the real life player it does not always show on the pitch when you play e.g I had Michael ...
Pros: Good Graphics and addictive
Cons: Annoying glitches and lack of off the ball movement
Excerpt: "This game is the best football game out by far. Its gameplay is what makes it such a superb game. You can do brilliant skills just by moving the right analogue stick. However, more complex skills are more complex to do. You will need to get use to the basics of the game before trying to do skills and mastering the game. The graphics are above average. The sound is very good, although the commentary can get annoying sometimes. You can choose to play ...
Pros: Excellent graphics during gameplay, excellent footballing skills within game, can unlock classic teams and players,
Excerpt: "...Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. Pro Evolution soccer 5 has to be the best football game for the Playstation 2 at the moment, people argue that FIFA 2006, which is made by EA SPORTS is better because of the licensing of all of the teams in the game. However there is a way to get fully licensed kits and this is by purchasing a Max Drive which are on www.play.com for around £10. Once you have a Max Drive, to get realistic kits you have to download an option ...
