Excerpt: The gameplay is amateurish and does not represent that of a premiership or top flight football game but rather that of a sunday league team where goals are 80% of the time scrappily scrambled over the line. The referee is stupidly biased toward the opposing team almost every single game giving them a freekick for almost every sliding challenge and occasionally for when 2 players run into each other even when you arent controlling the player and the referee often decides...
Summary: I must have played a good three figure number of matches with this version and I've previously owned all iterations since ISSPE 1 for the PS1. This version has indeed many improvements over previous titles, like the shooting, the graphics and some of the animations. Yet, overall it consistently leaves me with the feeling of a deep frustration. The reason for this is the way Konami has brought the "cheating" of the CPU almost to a level of perfection.
Summary: I actually prefer this version to Pes4 in a lot of ways, but not to point where I'm prepared to pay another £30 to watch Wayne Rooney skating round the pitch. I don't know how many tens of millions of pounds Konami makes from pes every year, but I think it's long overdue that they started investing a little more in the game intself.Tweaking the graphics every year and getting rid of crazy anomilies like the too tight marking or ridiculously one sided refereeing really...
Summary: The Pro Evolution series has been amazing...up until now that is. What made the series so good was the sense of satisfaction you felt from putting together an intricate, flowing move, regardless of whether or not a goal would follow. So PE5 is a huge let down. I've read many reviews praising the game for its realism. Well, I don't think it is that realistic at all.
Summary: I have to start with the immense dissapointment I experienced following playing over 100 games on this updated PES title. This series is the only reason I bought a PS2. but since PES3, things have been getting worse, a little down turn (PES4) has become a resounding PES5 colapse. . The counter intuitive control interface, overly animated, (and at times frustratingly dumb - hopovers at the touch line? random first touch, shooting and tackling system?
Summary: Always loved Pro Evo, but its gone badly wrong here. The game is just slow and boring, people say its realistic, but when have you seen football played this slowly before, or world class players who cant control the ball or beat a player. Its just dull, there is absolutely no atmosphere what so ever. You get to a stage where you just don't care what happens because its so boring. For the first time in years I will not be just buying the next Pro Evo.
Summary: im sorry but i think this new version of pro is poor, i can understand the makers wanting to make a realistic football game but there is point where you have to stop. i think that the games major fault is, among other things, the lack of individual player skill, the first touch is rubbish to say the least and pulling off a decent thru ball is almost impossible.
Summary: PSSS...QUE VA, HE JUGADO AL ISS PRO DESDE EL 99 CON LA PRIMERA ENTREGA. Y PUEDO DECIR QUE CON ESTA SE HAN PASADO...EL JUEGO ES MUY LENTO, CASI POR TOCAR A UN JUGADOR..FALTA....DAS UNA ZANCADA Y FUERA DE JUEGO...LOS PARTIDOS SON ETERNOS..NO HAY EMOCIÓN. BUENO...YA PARA TIRAR A PUERTA EL JUGADOR TIENE QUE ESTAR EN EQUILIBRIO,CON CARRERA,CON PIERNA ADECUADA Y SATURNO Y URANO ALINEADOS..AMOS NO ME JODAN!! ES DESESPERANTE..BUENO.
Pros: Existe ISS PRO 4
