Summary: I am a latecomer on Pro Evo, being a Fifa fan for years. What made me change my mind was PES 5, a masterpiece of a football game which came at the right time, when Fifa's already low standards for in-game reality were declining even more. The following year brought my favorite of all football games in PES 6. I still play that one a lot and my master league is around 2019 now.
Summary: The price pretty much sums it up. This is a fairly solid incarnation of the series bearing in mind most of Konami's efforts are going into the Next-Gen versions. The 'Become a Legend' mode is a nice idea but (as anyone who's played as 'fixed' on the old PESs while the comp controls the rest of the team)has very slow gameplay and frustrating as the AI doesn't learn how you like to play and often does irritating things like giving the ball away cheaply from a pass and...
Summary: WHen i saw that The Champions League was included in Pro 09 i was like YES!! But alas imagine my Dissapointment and Anger when i saw that it was not included in the PS2 version. I think Konami was being Lazy as PS2 is almost at the end of its lifespan! It plays almost identical to Pro 08 and the gameplaty is only slightly Tweaked!! The Become a legend mode is nowhere near as good as the Xbox and PS3 Versions.
Summary: This looks like being the first review of the PS2 version of PES 2009 (I am too poor to afford a PS3). I will begin by saying the usual comment reviewers of PES make which is 'I have been a fan for years blah blah' which is true - my first copy was ISS Deluxe on the SNES back in 1995 (happy days) and have bought virtually every new incarnation of the series on its release date, such is my love for this game.
Summary: Up to some ten years ago, i was a follower of the EA Sport's FIFA Football franchise. That is until i decided to satisfy my idle curiousity and check out Konami's International Superstar Soccer Pro '98. Needless to say that the difference in terms of game-play between the two was, at that time, vast. FIFA was as good as i had thought a football sim could be, with 6 to 10-0 scorelines being common - until i played ISS Pro '98!
