Summary: The graphics are bland and uninteresting. Voice acting isn't terrible, but it's nothing impressive. Likewise, none of the characters are unique enough to make them stand out. Combat is generic "hack n' slash" with little innovation, strafing is too slow to avoid anything, and there's no "block" or "dodge" button. The story itself is not bad, but the problem is that the way it's executed, it feels like this game should be an anime. Music is nothing to boast about.
Summary: PSU is a offline and Online game. The game has minor problems from graphics to menu. The menu is so out of place yeah it's nice to you can use your weapons and item by hitting O. But for some reason you can't heal your allies only you. Of course you can heal all if you have an item to do that. The graphics are good but some minor shaking of the ground when you zoom or you but on your googles. Anyways the in the cities the people kind of vanished out of thin air.
Summary: That was my reaction when I saw that SonicTeam had partially helped in this game's development. Being that the last game I've played by SonicTeam was 'Sonic Heroes', a half-decent game in its own right, I decided to give this a try. The game, for lack of better terms, was fun the first time. But then, after the game was beaten and the great evil at the time slain, I was thinking 'What now?
Summary: What nutcase gave this game a 10 out of 10. When people start reviewing games in a rediculious light it ruins the meta scores. Ban them from this site. Oh just forgot whoever has been giving perfect scores for this game go and get oblivion or fallout. Would not recommend this game to anyone in a million years. Its really really bad. DO NOT BUY.
Summary: This game is amazing with the offline and online play such as beast mode i refer u to get this game if u like having fun its not all about battling its also about hanging with friends and trying to form a unstoppable party. Summary: While searching for a lengthy game to play over the summer, I stumbled upon Phantasy Star Universe (PSU). Within days I purchased it, hardly even researching it, buying this game was probably one of my most rash game purchases. But I don't regret it in the slightest. I don't have any history with the PS series, so I can't compare them to this one. RPGs are know for their customization and PSU doesn't lack that.
Summary: OK, first off if you are not a person for RPG's then turn around and put this game down. This game is an expierience that only a true RPG fan can enjoy. My cousin showed me phantasy star online and i was instantly hooked. I saw this one at the store and just had to buy it. The story mode is amazing and will take you between 50 and 60 hours to complete (or was it 24-30) Anyway this game is good.
Summary: A great game every ps2 owner should have. The only problem is the customization in the main story. All you can do is change clothes. But when you unlock extra mode the character customization increases to 9. The game took me like 50 - 60 hours to complete and was pretty hard. The games characters are great and kind of funny at some parts. The game is actually humerous on most cutscenes.
Excerpt: *My review of Phantasy Star Universe is based on the offline experience because I can't afford to play online.* The fighting system is similar to and will feel familiar to fans of Phantasy Star Online. So it's in real-time, and there's no pausing the game offline. The game sees to the likes of lock-on and strafing, but is still fairly simple, and as satisfying.
