OutRun 2006: Coast 2 Coast
7 May 2007
Excerpt: OutRun 2006: Coast 2 Coast, an introduction. Earlier this year we looked at the PlayStation 2 and PSP versions of OutRun 2006: Coast 2 Coast and we were impressed with not only the games individually but also how well they integrated with each other.
Excerpt: OutRun: Coast 2 Coast isn’t a visual stunner, but it doesn’t look all that bad either. Rather than go for the realistic look most racers seem to aim for, Coast 2 Coast instead goes for a brighter appearance.
Conclusion: THE VERDICT: If OutRun2 was, as we declared , "sex with the prom queen", then OutRun 2006: Coast 2 Coast is surely a dreamy, steamy reunion, with filthier, more satisfying action than before - and this time, it's an experience open to pretty much anyone with a spare thirty sheets.
Summary: Outrun 2006: Coast 2 Coast is one of the most enjoyable games I've played on the PS2 and PSP to date. It's just so much fun sliding around the courses, completing challenges and racing. One to add to the collection, and one to continue the resurrection of Sega.
Conclusion: OutRun er lige så aktuelt i dag, som det var i grillbarerne i midten af 80'erne, og det har stadig det samme, vigtige budskab: Jo farligere du kører i hurtige italienske sportsvogne, des vildere er pigerne med dig.
