Very Fun Game Except For One Flaw

Jack, Amazon
31 October 2002
  • Summary: The game is very difficult and fun. The only problem is that it is too short! It takes only 2 hours to beat, and believe it or not, that is one of the objectives: to beat it in less than 2 hours! This game was NOT worth 50 dollars back then, and isn't worth 20 dollars now.

Resident Evil meets Way of the Samurai

Michael Corona, Amazon
30 October 2002
  • Summary: Onimusha: Warlords - Circa 2001 GOOD: - A nicely styled samurai horror/fantasy - An original story, based loosely on Japanese history - Cool samurai-sword combat BAD: - This game is sort of showing it's age, from the Luke-warm voice acting to the controls - Not for those who don't like survival...

Fun

Reggie, Amazon
30 October 2002
  • Summary: Fun. Hate the fact that I had to use the d pad controls instead of the left analog stick for moving the character around, but it still a fun play through.

  • Summary: I never played this game when it first came out when I was young, but since I have a working PS2 and heard that a new Onimusha may come out for PS4 I figured I'd give the trilogy a try.

Impressive, but not very deep

Amazon Customer, Amazon
26 October 2002
  • Summary: This game is very highly rated, and I expected more out of it. The graphics are pretty good, and the "cut scenes" are interesting, providing a good story line, but the game play between the cut scenes is all too short.

Not all it's jacked up to be...

Melissa Mcdowall, Amazon
26 October 2002
  • Summary: The graphics are great, but that's about all that's great. Onimusha is kind of a cross between Resident Evil and the Playstation classic Tenchu:Stealth Assasins. This game is WAY too sort, it only took me about three hours to beat it. Some of their research was well done, but some wasn't.

Good game...but too short

Mike, Amazon
26 October 2002
  • Summary: Onimusha Warlords, to me, was like playing through a movie. As Samanosuke and Kaede, you fight in medieval Japan, battling various demons and creatures while searching for the captured Princess Yuki. Though the game has several key weaknesses, it is still one of the best releases for Playstation 2.

Great Graphics, but it's too easy

Amazon
26 October 2002
  • Summary: Nice game, great graphics, but I finished it in 4 hours. I expect a little more game time for $50. The bosses and nearly all of the enemies are easy to beat. Basically, your character has great blocking skills and can block practically anything that's thrown at him, so you just need to block and...
