Summary: Disc was scratched too much and at first I thought nothing of it since the game seemed to work with no issue. Eventually it froze at a certain transition from map to the other and kept on doing so. Then the game froze in other places so I just stopped playing it. I will order a new one eventually.
Summary: I love RPGs. I'm a huge fan of the genre and can quickly turn into a happy zombie, mashing through fight sequences, casting magic, and so forth. I'm a pretty easy sell... ..but Okage was so horribly bad it had me shouting at the television. There are some really basic aspects to RPG design that were clearly ignored. One - if you've just defeated a major boss character, give the user an opportunity to save their game, for the love of God.
Summary: This game could have been a classic, as it is, there is just that little something extra missing that keeps this game from being truly interesting. Games in the FF series have grabbed me right from the beginning, not this one. I found myself quite bored right from the first scene. I looked forward to finding a save point so that I could do something more constructive with my time, and still manage to give the game another try without having to repeat the beginning again.
