  • Excerpt: Obscure was a title i'd never heard of when a friend recommended it, and i'm glad he did. As a fan of Resident Evil and Silent Hill I was intrigued to see how this game panned out. So what makes this different from the above games?
  • Pros: Alternate to Res Evil and Silent Hill .  Nicely presented .
  • Cons: Disappointing Storyline and not much fun to play over again .

A good, solid game

Mike Jonze, Amazon
18 October 2006
  • Summary: This is a good game, this is a really good game with a great premise. This game does justice to the sub- Resident Evil `survival horror' genre. I bought this game because I was looking for a good horror game to play and there's not too many on the market.

  • Excerpt: I intended to do this review a while back, but my product suggestion only just came through, and in the interim I've written a Top 10 of scary games, in which I mentioned this title. I suppose I now have the chance to expand on what I wrote there. WHAT IS IT?
  • Pros: Two player, survival horror action
  • Cons: Some storylines not developed, the additional ending is a let down

Good game...could have pushed further.

  • Summary: Obscure came out without any particular fanfare (it's always the case when a game is of either non-Japanese or non-US origin!), so it took a while before I decided to give it a go. I was mostly impressed, but with a few disappointments. The story involving monsters running amok in a US high school.
