Summary: This is a very good first person shooter. It mixes between stealth and action all the time. The gadgets are really cool, and the conversations between the guards are funny. The graphics I think are preety good, but not outstanding. The control is tight for me at least. This is an adventure worth taking.
Summary: Put simply, this game rocks. It's funny, it's challenging, and most importantly, it's... fun! You play as Cate Archer, an ex-thief turned operative when she steals the watch of a spy who gives her a bright future in light of her talents. The graphics of this game rival those of MGS2 and DMC, and maybe even better. The main reason for this is the texturing and the colorful locales that this game is set in.
Excerpt: It may seem to some that the spy genre has been done to death since James Bond first came to the big screen with Dr. No. There were the Flint films which gently mocked the cliches of the Bond films, and we can't really forget the Austin Powers films. In video games it isn't really the same as Bond titles haven't always captured the feel of the movies well.
Excerpt: With maybe the exception of Duke Nukem 3D, First Person Shooters (FPS) have always been fairly serious affairs where you're the only person who can save the world, one person alone against the odds and all that kind of malarkey and it's all played straight. However, this changed with the release of "No One Lives Forever: The Operative" (NOLF from now on) where you play Agent Cate Archer, a fresh faced ex-thief turned spy.
Excerpt: ~ Introduction ~ Every once in a while a game comes along that totally changes the computer gaming world. That game is... Max Payne! Then there are games like this. No One Lives Forever (NOLF from now on) is one of those games that deserves to be huge, but either go by unnoticed or is released at a time when another game takes all the limelight.
Excerpt: This is basically a good old fun game with plenty of guns blazing. It is a mix of James Bond and Austin Powers. There is a brilliant range of gadgets and guns to occupy you through the wide levels. The game is very easy to master and gets complex which makes you come back quickly for more. Your mission in this game is to take on the role as a secret agent and to do your missions to save the world from the clutches of H.A.R.M.
