Summary: I gave this game five stars because it takes me back to the day when hockey games where more just simple and the classic controls are so natural to me because I grew up that way. It's like the game creators read my mind, such smooth passing and unlimited hip checks (110 per game on average for me on all star hitz mode), nothing to complain about here.
Summary: This game is good for hours of endless entertainment. If you like big hits, fights, and broken glass then this game has it all. The great game of hockey packed with more of the great hits you love! I recommend this game for any hockey lover.
Summary: Only a few downers, but they stand out a lot for me. For one thing, the commentators are extremely annoying. They have annoying voices, and the scripts are totally non-imaginative. For another thing, in this day in age in the hockey world, the game is extremely outdated...back to before I even liked hockey, so the old players do nothing for me. I guess the game can't help it that it was created back in 2003 or so, but it bugs me.
Summary: hitz 2003 is way more fun. the hiting is worse in this game enless you wanted the game more realistic theres no mini games on the plus side theres street hockey and the players look more real but dosnt make up for the hitting
Summary: I bought both NHL Hitz 2002 and 2003. NHL Hitz 2003 is in my opinion the best game I've ever played on Xbox. I love the fantasy heads, fantasy rinks, and over-the-top action. I bought NHL Hitz pro hoping that it would be like NHL Hitz 2003, but improved (5 on 5 play, etc). It has dropped all of the fantasy elements that made the originals fun, there are no mini-games, the stats and customization features aren't as good, etc, etc.
Summary: This NHL game is a blast. I didn't like the previous NHL Hitz titles because of the larger-than-life players, only 4 men on the ice, etc. This latest version is a real improvement. Regulation 5 men on the ice, realistic player sizes, and lots of fun to play. I have tried all the 2003-04 NHL games and I enjoy this one the most. p.s., GO SHARKS!!
Summary: After playing EASports NHL 2003 on my brother-in-law's Game Cube, I knew I had to get a hockey game for the ole' PS2. This was the newest version of any title at the electronics emporium (the next most recent was NHL 2002), so it's what I nabbed. The graphics don't seem quite as sharp as the EA game (no sleeve numbers on the jerseys, for example) but the PS2 controller is easier to use (at least to me), the action seems a little quicker and after just an hour of play, I...
