Summary: This game gets a 5 because it is a game anyone can play control wise and provides a disclaimer of sorts with the title. It is nothing more than a beat up the other skaters while improving your skaters game but that is probably why you purchased it. If you are looking for story than I suggest an RPG but if you want a rough sports/fight game then Hitz is for you.
Summary: The biggest casualty of the 2004-05 NHL Lockout was that Midway permanently withdrew from making hockey titles. No, their titles weren't "true to life" (NHL Hitz Pro was the only title that featured 5-on-5 play and even then you couldn't carry more than 20 players on a team) but the gameplay packed a wallop with it's high-scoring, fast-paced, bone-jarring action that focused more on having fun than being an expert at gaming.
Summary: I am not a fan of sports games, most get boring really quickly, but this isn't like it. This was the first game I bought when I got my PS2, I was worth it. You get to play as pirates, clowns, alligators, sharks, and other cool creatures. Plus, there are tons of awsome mini-games. Before you start a match, you can choose to rain or snow in the rink. Have you seen any other hockey game that lets you choose that?
Summary: NHL 2003 has really hit the spot here. This shows in the helmets falling off (my 2nd favorite part). My favorite thing is smashing people through the glass. I like how they have set up the franchise mode. This game is a must have!
Summary: Im a big fan of hockey.....and I loved this game, everyone so far has given it big numbers and they arent wrong....my ONLY fault with the game is that there are only 5 players on the ice (including the goalie) there should be 6....but other than that I love it. I especially like the mardi gras heads you can add to your player to make them look all crazy and you can adjust the players size and face and even sex?
Summary: If you haven't tried this game your really missing out!! Nhl Hitz 2003 has the best graphics ever! If you get your meters full(by preforming checks and deaks) you go on "fire". So here are some pros and cons. Pros: the graphics are wonderful.
Summary: This game is _awsome_. The play isn't particularly faithful to the actual sport, but as a video game, it's killer. It's fun enough as a one player game, but the more people you play with, the better it gets. I never write reviews, but people have to know that this is one of the best sports games ever. The word must get out.
Summary: I was growing tired of the recent crap that EA sports creates for hockey. So, I tried this game and was blown away. The action is incredible - it's fast, enjoyable, and has a great feel to it. The game has plenty of mode options like season, tourney, franchise and more. I was always a traditionalist, and never tried the Hitz/Blitz collection. But this is a must buy!
