The Reason 2K Sports Hockey Rose To Prominence.

Mike, Amazon
28 July 2010
  • Summary: I don't think anyone's demanding it nowadays considering that this game is 6 years and a console removed from what's current, but after reading my review for (which is still a SUPERIOR hockey game even 2 years after the fact) I had to sound off on what was singlehandledly the most frustrating hockey...

  • Summary: I was a big fan of 04 so I was excited when this came out. I traded in 04 n got this. BIG MISTAKE. Play control really isnt that great, there is often a delay between pushing the shoot button and the actual shot which gets frustrating on rebounds, there is no create a player, you can create a team...

At least it's fun hockey

28 September 2005
  • Summary: I'm not sure if I like it that much or alot because first of all, the players movements are a little too fast.At least the crowd actually cheers when you score a goal unlike NHL 2K5 wich I think is way better than this.

What Up, Amazon
12 August 2005
  • Summary: After NHL 2004 I was excited about playing the new one, but after I rented it I was wrong on how good this game would be. The controls are fairly simple, but trying to score is another story. You get checked WAY TOO OFTEN and it's almost impposible to score at least one goal.

  • Summary: Good graphics, love the new foreign hockey league addition, but where's the Create-a-player setup??? I spent 30 bucks for that game, and then they fall short. Not entirely a ripoff, but very close.

  • Summary: After wearing out my NHL 2004, I bit the expensive bullet and purchased NHL 2005. Since 1996, I have created a player in my own image and name and suited him up with my San Jose Sharks.

  • Summary: BAD!! BAD!! BAD!! Now if we could get the ESPN NHL2K5's game play and entire setup ( game modes, create a player..etc ) with the graphics of NHL 2005, then we'd have an awsome game!! The grapics and the way the players move on the ice is very realistic, but it pretty much stops there.

for the price, not worth it

Bryan "Bryan", Amazon

  • Summary: This game really isnt THAT different that nhl 2004 (which i absolutely loved by the way)...a few things changed like now the scores are more realistic, you can do the open ice control thing, etc...but overall, there isnt a HUGE change, which disappointed me.
