Summary: I played this game one time and returned it back to the store. The graphics were noticably sloppy at best and looked they they were used in 1994. They also had less modes than NHL 2K6 its main competitor. It isn't worth 29.99 to play this junk. I bought NHL 2K6 after I returned it and it is ten times better. With a worse price than 2k6, NHL 2006 was a major dissapointment.
Summary: I'm giving this game two overall stars. Those stars represent graphics and being able to switch rosters around without connecting to the internet. This game severly lacks playability. Graphics aside, you would never know that you were playing hockey. Controls are silly and you never get the feeling of being 'in control' offensively or defensively.
Summary: First off the presentation is great. But after just playing it a couple of times there are some key things I don't like that folks should be aware of before buying it. The first and foremost is that it only supports 2 players. This is a huge step back in my mind. I can't remember an EA hockey game that has done this in the past. Every year I play a season with 4-5 friends and we have a blast. So if you ever play these hockey games with your friends look elsewhere.
