NFL GameDay 2003

Game Over Online
23 October 2002
  • Excerpt: Talk about a screwy NFL Season, huh? If I turned to you before any games had been played and told you that San Diego would practically be undefeated this year, or that St. Louis would only have one win under their belts, you’d check to see if I was drunk or insane. Instead, the unpredictability of the season has proven a fallacy of a classic adage. While you may not want to fix what ain’t broke, you do have to perform a lot of maintenance during the off-season.

NFL GameDay 2003

Playstation Illustrated
17 September 2002
  • Excerpt: Over the course of its life span, 989's GameDay franchise has reminded me a lot of my favorite team, the New Orleans Saints. Much like the Saints, the off season is full of hope - maybe this year will be different, but once the season starts, it is all downhill from there. Sure both have had one or two good years - but for the most part, both have been average at best.

PSX Extreme
14 August 2002
  • Excerpt: From fame to tragedy, the history of Sony's GameDay franchise can be best told in a "VH1 Behind the Music" format. It was all going good as the GameDay franchise revolutionized football titles, by being the first to feature polygonal player models. It also featured some incredibly deep gameplay, and up until 1999 it conquered the virtual gridiron, toppling EA Sports' constant efforts.
