Summary: Everyone has been booing and dissing 989 Sports for their titles, but I do not feel it is all that bad. It does not look as good as Madden, but it is still a fun game. The gameplay is improved, and it is a lot of fun. A solid buy for college fans, but you might want to hold out for NCAA GAMEBREAKER 2002. Now that game will kick [butt]!

Summary: If you see this game in the store, just pretend you never saw it, walk away. I regretfully spent five dollars renting it, and it is the worst football game I have played ever. It's like 989 had a good thing on PS1 and just stuck with it, didn't update graphics or gameplay, they just repackaged the same old (stuff). The graphics on this are horrible, I think the most time was spent on the referee calling the fouls(which is the only fairly-decent looking part).
Summary: 88-83. That was the score of the first game I played. Realistic? I think not. Bottom line is that this game may be fun if you're having a party, but I wouldn't recommend that anyone buy this. For starters, on kickoff the ball just lays on the ground, there is no tee. When I tried to make a tackle from behind, all of a sudden I appeared in front of the receiver. Very strange. Passing in the game can become very easy.
Summary: I'll admit, GameBreaker 2001 isn't anywhere near the quality of Madden 2001 for the Playstation 2, but I've had a great time playing it since I bought it. I think the expectations for the PS2 were through the roof, so there's bound to be some initial disappointment in the first wave of titles. There's more of an arcade feel to GameBreaker than a straight sim, so if you don't like your sports games on the exaggerated side, this one is not for you.
Summary: Where to start with this stinker..... well, I fired up this game and I immediatelty had to play as my alma mater, the 2000 Big Ten Champions Purdue Boilermakers. I thought I would take it kind of easy in my first game, so I played the season mode, knowing Purdue's first game this season was against Central Michigan or someother creampuff. (incidently, PU shut them out this season). So I was not expecting a very big defensive struggle.
Summary: If you value your time and money, DO NOT buy this game. The graphics, music, and gameplay are the worst I have ever seen on playstation or Playstation 2. 989 should be ashamed for even trying to pass this off as a real game.
Summary: After the release of Gameday 2001 and it being so bad I was nervous on how good this game would be and it did not dissapoint. If you liked Gamebreaker 2000 on PS1 you will love this. The easy modes are easy to score on but that is why it is easy. The harder modes are more difficult but it is possible to score and play defense if you are good at the game. You just have to use a high variety of plays. In all it's a great game and would reccomend anyone to buy it.
Summary: If you love college football you got to have this game. If this game was the same as Game Breaker 2000 for regular Playstation i would still give it 5 stars, because Game Breaker is just that fun of a game. This game has alot better graphics and and i think it is alot more fun to play. And who cares if it is a 989 or EA sports???? It is a great game! So buy it.
