Summary: Ok, I have played so many sports games that it is ridiculous, I don't like role playing games or fantasy sports games like NFL biltz. I like authentic games. This game is far from authentic basketball or a fantasy sport game. The graphics are very lack luster for PS2. Some people will tell you otherwise but they are in a dream land, wake up people. The gameplay is extremely sloppy.
Summary: Don't get me wrong, this game is pretty good. However, there are some flaws. The dunking in particular. Who dunks the ball without ever touching the rim? It's like they just thrown it in, and that's it. If I have an open lane to dunk, I want some rim hanging action. Give me a technical foul if you want, but I'm hanging on the rim. Also, the jumpshot is a bit wrong. These guys are 6'5" or so, and they take a jump shot like Rosie O'Donnel.
Summary: When I think of ea sports, I think of qualtiy sports games. So far ea sports has put out 4 quality games in ssx, nhl 2001, fifa soccer 2001 and madden 2001. I held out on buying NBA 2K1 for dreamcast because I was really looking forward to what EA Sports was going to put out. However, when I was rented NBA Live 2001 from blockbuster, I was really disapointed. First off, it is hard to tell who some of the players are.
Summary: This is not a game you want to play season after season. Compared to Madden, this game does not have any type of franchise mode. The graphics are better but this improvement doesn't warrant a purchase. Also, coming out halfway through the current NBA season, we know that NBA Live 2002 will be out sooner than we think this October. By then, we'll see some major improvements. We'll hopefully have the franchise mode, better game play/graphics, challenge mode, etc...
Summary: If you are a Live fan with a PS2 console, I'm sure you havebeen anxiously waiting for this game to be released. I bought it theday it came out and I can honeslty say that the gameplay is almostexactly like the gameplay of that of PSone, with one exception---thegraphics. By far I think the graphics are really good, but this gamewas supposed to be more animated with reactions from the bench andcoaches.
Summary: Received my copy yesterday and here are some observations. The interface is very clunky and poorly visible, similar to FIFA 2001 as compared to the clear menus in Madden 2001. The graphics have their moments, and there is no slowdown or breakup, but compared to Madden or SSX, Live looks PS1-ish.
Summary: I have mixed opinions of this game. Graphically what this game does do is ok, put not as good as EA's very own Madden and NHL. Tha gameplay delivers what every other game before it has done, but little else, but why fix something if it is not broken. My only quarm is that tackling seems a bit hard to do without comitting a defensive foul. The cut-scenes are few but they are repeated over and over again. The games good, but maybe I'm not much of a basketball fan.
Summary: schrecklich was hat sich Electronic arts nur dabei gedacht. Spaß beiseite ich finde es ist gut gelungen ist aber nur was für Fans von sportspielen ,denn wenn du der beste bist ist es langweilig
Summary: OK, die Grafik ist wirklich gut. Trotzdem Weiter so, EA Sports!!!!!
